Red Ring of Doom
Microsoft’s decision to extend a three year warranty to all Xbox 360s is a great move on their part, but unfortunately it means just one thing: your 360 is going to break. And yes, you can get it fixed for free ( if you have the specific red ring symptom ), but you won’t get it back for 6 weeks.
Think about it - Halo 3 launches, you’re playing it -
“Oh man, this is the best game of all time! Look at that effect, I didn’t even know that was possible! Hey - a new weapon, I never even rea - hey, what the fuck? Oh no, it’s not - it is, it is, the red ring! Nooooooooo!”
I’m not really looking forward to that. Tell you what, unless Microsoft springs for some preventative maintenance, I might just trade in my still-working 360 for a PS3.
