What’s going on with this site?
Every thing’s fine, sometimes we just don’t feel like writing. Like when a new game is released, or when we’re enjoying an old game - or when we’re drunken. Yes, that’s just the Mario business for you, you’ve got to take it as it comes, but dammit, that’s the fun of it.
Anyways, this is going to turn into more of a normal blog, where I tell you what fun gaming activities filled my day. In future ( theoretically daily ) installments the post title will actually be the date of the post - it’s getting that hardcore. [ Yeah, actually I’m not doing that, see most subsequent posts. What the hell, past Wishbane? ]
Today I played with my newest system, the Nintendo DS ( it’s the law in Canada that everyone owns one ), & enjoyed some meaningless moments in Animal Crossing. Fun game, & an amazing time waster. Next up I played my old favorite Soul Calibur 2 on my 360, & by hellfire is the current controller ever shitty - fuck this unresponsive lump of plastic misery. Microsoft, what’s up with that? Am I supposed to play Virtua Fighter 5 with this torture device? Really? I don’t think so. Look, did you ever actually play test this thing? Because anyone who tried to use this to play a fighting game would tell you right away to forget it, what you’ve designed is the worst D-pad in the universe. So fix it.
Halo 3 comes out Monday night at midnight, which I will line up to buy because I don’t have a girlfriend. All the major sites have reviewed it & mostly gave it 10s, so whatever, I’ll probably like it. That reminds me, I bought Bioshock ( the 360 version ) which is great, but because of some tedious elements ( hacking… ) doesn’t have that much replay value. Oh well.
That’s about it for today, enjoy Halo 3 a lot & see you back here Tuesday (the 26th ) night.
Happy Marios.
