Phantom Hourglass
So I bought it , of course - this game is great so far. Although I predicted that a future episode of stupidity would be responsible for my buying Hourglass, this was a smart purchase. This may in fact be the killer app for the DS; the control, graphics & gameplay are uniformly excellent - more about the game as I continue to play it, but as you can probably tell I’m very impressed so far. On a related ( DS ) note, the Hori touch-pad cover is the one to buy, don’t even think of using the crappy Nintendo version - what a truly inferior, awful product, big N - what the hell?
Animal Crossing update - today was “flea market” day, which mostly involved unwanted guests arriving at my little house & asking the price of every single object they could see, none of which were for sale. A nice option would have been the ability to tell them right away “nothing here is for sale, please leave”. I noticed when I visited their disgusting hovels they had cleaned them out like the Vandals were arriving - clever, but I couldn’t be bothered. After the 2nd visit, which seemed to go on for hours, I signed off for the day - I can only hope this only happens once a year.
And finally, Halo 3; I’ve finished the first few levels on Heroic - it’s not really harder, just much, much slower, & the weapons of choice have by necessity become long-range. I have a new respect for the Covenant Carbine, it’s almost always one of my weapons now.
That’s about all for now, I’ve just bought an impressive amount of beer which I will consume until I am drunken, then watch the very talented Seth Rogen on SNL ( thanks to the Wongster for that heads up ).
Happy Marios.
