Drunken Halo
Hello fellow geeks, I hope this post finds you well, if not happy - for how can the geeky find happiness in this world of “coolness”, “well-paying jobs” & “hygiene”? Oh well - at least you have this blog, & we love tolerate you; the fact that you don’t as yet technically exist is unimportant.
So, Halo 3 on easy was tried & proved to be no fun at all - it’s almost not a game, it’s that easy ( although, predictably, vehicle combat led to some cheap deaths - that’s got to be fixed ). But drunken Halo - that’s just awesome. I really think it’s the way to go, & in the future intend to play all my games inebriated. Far from retarding my reflexes, the beer seemed to supercharge all my not inconsiderable gaming skills into an unbeatable engine of wrath. Except that I got killed all the time, accidentally killed my AI squad mates & frequently drove off the edge of - well, anything with an edge. Aside from that, I’m going to claim success here, & recommend that you try this fun new way of enjoying your games.
The Virtua Fighter 5 demo was released on Xbox Live yesterday - good God, I must have this game. The control ( with the Madcats controller, of course ) was amazingly fluid & quick, & the visuals were great without any slowdown. This is a game I will definitely play on Live, 12 year old mentally challenged Tourette’s sufferers be damned.
Animal Crossing Update - The exodus continues as my uncompelling cartoon neighbors continue to flee the town in droves. The latest escapee was the very character mentioned last time who’s doppleganger just ( thank goodness ) moved out - what can it be? And right in the middle of the Acorn Festival, too - could it be that the millions of discarded rotten acorns are making Delphi an unpleasant place to live? I’m beginning to think I might be expected to pick them up & take them to the recycling - this will not happen.
That’s about it for now, still haven’t bought Orange Box, sold Phantom Hourglass ( more about ths next post ).
Happy Marios.
