KUF Circle of Doom X360…Demo?
Yes, I’m reviewing a demo. I really enjoyed it ( I’m still replaying it ), so I’d like to recommend that you download it - but first, I’ll explain why this demo may or may not be for you. After all, the last thing we at Geek want to do is waste any of your time.
[ Don’t listen to this man - wait ’till he buys the game. Stupid guy. Still, this is pretty funny in hindsight. ]
First, why you shouldn’t bother - if you don’t like Diablo 2, or Devil May Cry, or having the most fun of all time. Secondly, why you should - because you like all these things, combined into a new, pretty awesome game. Simple, really. We like to keep it simple here at Geek, it’s easier than being clever.
Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom is an action RPG with a difference - yes, you have all the standard features of this type of game ( randomized levels , tons of customizable items, unrealistically armored Elf girls ), but you play it like a 3D action game with enjoyable magic/weapon attacks, hoards of enemies & beautiful destructible environments. The demo lets you play as two of the six characters in the full game, starting off with an excellent tutorial which is also fully skipable ( nice ). There’s no time limit either, so you can just play at your own pace, discovering what’s on offer & how the game system works ( for instance, while happily destroying part of a tree for no good reason I noticed an item appear - thus justifying what appeared to be a completely pointless activity ).
There’s no possible reason at this point for you to do anything but download & play this great demo - you’ve already established by reading this “article” on my “website” that free time is really not an issue for you. So don’t walk, run to your 360 & download shamefully geeky fun. You will believe a Paladin can shield bash ( or something like that ).
