N3 Review Xbox 360
Yes this game is old, but I’ve only just played it because all the reviews in the world said it was bad - time to address that, because this game is great. And fuck all jaded, worthless mainstream critics - you need to be replaced.
You’ve played games like this before ( maybe too many ), but this is the one you should have played first. It’s a Dynasty Warriors style fantasy action RPG ( heavy on the action ), but without the fog ( except when it’s an effect ), overly long missions & boring strategy elements that usually make this type of game suck so much.
Instead, what you get are solid character designs, gameplay & story with a difficulty that ramps up nicely - don’t be fooled by the reviews out there, you can button mash the first few levels but after that you better implement some combos & blocks if you hope to finish the game.
Ninety Nine Nights also boasts seven unlockable characters, all of whom play differently & add detail to the somewhat generic yet satisfying storyline.
I’ve played through the game with 3 of the characters so far ( 2 more, I’m sure, than any of the douchebags who were paid to review it ), so believe me when I say this game is worth your time & the bargain price it’s now going for. This is a fun, well crafted distraction that I highly recommend - but then, I’m not a cliquish, pompous jobber who hates fun ( just a lazy, unmotivated drunkard who hates reality ).
