Top 10 Most Wanted Games for PSP

jess_psp.jpgGuess who just engineered another mass trade* for a brand new, beautiful PSP Slim? I’ll give you a hint - he’s immature, frequently drunken & has his own website. You guessed me? - hey, that’s right!

After seeing how well God Of War performs on Sony’s handheld , I naturally began wondering what other games/franchises could now be ported successfully to the PSP, & like everything else I think about it turned into a top 10 list.

10] Oblivion - Development for this already-in-progress software is rumored to be canceled, but I’m the last person to let the facts spoil his fun - I want this game.

9] Destrega - An awesome 3d fighter from Koei, it made it’s only appearance to date on the PS1 - I’d love to see any new version of this game, but I think this would work great on the PSP.

8] Deception - I love this dark, twisted series from Tecmo. It’s been a while since there was a new one, but I’d settle for an improved port of one of the older titles with extra content.

7] Diablo 2 - This should be totally doable on the PSP at this point. Online is a must, extra character classes & levels would be even sweeter.

6] Devil May Cry - I think this is still expected - since 2006. Anyways, let’s have it already.

5] Rival Schools - The old Capcom 3dish fighter should look & play great on the PSP.

4] Phantasy Star Portable - This is another one supposedly in development. Let’s hope it turns out better than Universe.

3] Beaterator - The sound capabilities of the PSP make it ideal for a music composing application, and the developer Rockstar has a fairly decent track record.

2] Jet Set Radio - The first one’s the best ( I think ), & there’s absolutely no reason it can’t run on the PSP - if they started development now, we could have this game in 6 months.

1] Soul Calibur - If the PSP can run Tekken it can run SC - yes, you’re down a button ( to guard ), but usually one of those button-combos is useless anyways. A version of SC2 without Mcfarlane’s “special” characters & no Heihachi would be great.

* Trade casualties: Nintendo DS Light, Geometry Wars: Galaxies, Puzzle Quest, Burnout: Paradise & the Guitar Hero Bundle - when you’re poor, it’s the only way to “buy” things.
