Hey!

So I just posted my FIRST vlog. I am very excited about this. I may have said one to many "um's" and the images flicker (I'm workin' on it). Other than that, I think it went OK! In this vlog I talk about my top games of 2011, my Christmas wish list and my Gamer New Years Resolutions! Please go check it out for me

What are your Gamer New Years Resolutions?

Ooo, vlogging from Japan - looking forward to that!

New Years Resolutions? Hmmm - maybe now that I've got my more up to date PC, I should start playing the odd more up to date game, instead of games 5+ years old. Or should I just do some recordings of some old PS2 titles instead... Tricky...

Very nice.

My Gaming New Year's Resolution is to get my owned and unplayed count down. It was around 5 games 3 months ago. It's at 23 now. I blame the Humble Bundles, VGG Secret Santa, and Skyward Sword.

Very good vlog thumbsup

I was going to say all was well until you started talking about Star Wars and Battlefield 3, but you presented very good arguments about Battlefield 3 as opposed to Modern Warfare 3.
Since I am only considering MW3 for the single player campaign and to get some closure to the story, for me its the better choice, as you very well pointed out.
As for the Star Wars game probably your hair distracted me about it.

Now the best socks I found where these, which come out when I was seaching for "Mass Effect socks":

Its the best I could come up with...

As for my New Years Gaming resolutions they are simple. Get Modern Warfare 3 when it reaches an affordable price, finish some of the games I am still playing like Far Cry 2, Rome Total War, Star Trek Bridge Commander, and get Far Cry 3 if its released next year.

Nice video! The teal overload sort of made my head hurt more than the cold that's been working me over.

+1 Japan is on my large list of places I'd love to visit. Yeah, I'm a bit jealous.

Hmmm, I've never had new year gamer resolutions before. I guess mine would revolve around actually playing games in my Steam collection. I buy games faster than I can play them. If only Steam had one of those credit card that collected air miles. I'd also like to play more games with VGG folks. So far I've played with many of you and it's always a blast. If you see me online don't be afraid to hit me up for a game or two. Lastly, I'd like to spend more time on the VGG community. I'm a Chit Chat guy at heart but VGG needs some love to help it grow.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and actually do some gameplay videos. Can anyone recommend some good video editing freeware?

Okay you get extra cool points for a very solid comparison of MW3 and BF3.

Hope to see more of these!

My Gamer Resolutions:
Play more games that I already own instead of buying more in hopes that I will have more time to play them.

Get my achievements up to 40%, currently they are at 35%. This kind of goes with the first resolution to get more value out of the games I already own.

Board game wise I want to have a gaming event once a month at a minimum.

Most importantly now that my son is getting older and can play more complex games I want to spend more time gaming with him, both video and board game wise.

It may sound silly but I have been pretty impressed with the Windows Movie maker in Windows 7 and to some extent the one included with Vista. It doesn't do green screens, layering, etc but really does a great job with quickly putting simple videos together.

As mentioned above, Windows Movie Maker is great for what it is: free. I use Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, depending. If you have a mac, iMovie comes standard and is amazing! Good freeware editing programs are kind of hard to find

I love all these resolutions!! Now we just need to stick with them /fistpump.

It's going to be a great 2012, I can tell!

Oh and Bruno Abreu, I love those socks! I almost bought them but then I didn't when I couldn't come up with a practical application for them.

I keep seeing more teal. But maybe your white just turned blue the longer I watched (^_^)

The Gamer New Years Resoution comes in parts. The major 3: First, I'm going to shed board games now that I've found my favorite board game (Earth Reborn), and I'm ecstatic that boardgamers in Japan are buying. Second, I'll work through my video game collection--have way too many that I just haven't played through. And third, I'm going to get even more crafty, you know, pimping out my games, doing more painting, and doing other funky projects.

Have fun in Japan! Every once in awhile they show inside this or that Japanese video gaming office on TV, so I hope you can find those!
