This game entry refers to two nearly identical games which are not compatible with one another. Ages 6 and up.
PitchCar and Carabande are dexterity games where large, wooden, puzzle-like pieces are used to construct a race track that looks very similar to a slot car track when finished. But instead of using electrons, players use finger-flicks to send small pucks around the track, a la Carrom.

Carabande was produced by Goldsieber and had only the single expansion with the Action Set. Both are currently out of print. It was also produced in a special "Audi" edition, titled Rennspiel-Action. In the BGG photo gallery, Carabande has yellow/orange rails.
PitchCar is produced by Ferti. It currently has five expansions which add "tight" curves, crossroads, small jumps, long straightaways, 45-degree curves, and curved bottlenecks. PitchCar apparently also has two editions, where the first edition has the black laminate on the top and bottom of the track pieces, where the second edition only has the laminate on the top of the track pieces. In the BGG photo gallery, PitchCar has red rails.
This package contains several shapes that can be used to create your own custom parts: 45° curve, 90° curve, simple straight, bottleneck, jump, a banked 180° turn, a crossroad with rotating barrier and a crossroad with diagonal barrier. All parts are compatible with PitchCar standard parts.
You could use a lasercutter in your local fab lab cut them into MDF or Plexiglas. If you can't get access to a lasercutter, a simple fretsaw might also work.
A fab lab is a small-scale workshop with computer-controlled tools that can be used by everyone for free. It contains tools like a lasercutter, a milling machine or a 3D
printer. Currently there are 45 fab labs spread all over the world.

This is a simple, fun expansion that our gaming group uses to introduce 4 different types of obstacles to PitchCar. With our suggested rules, even using all 4 types on 1 track should not increase your play time much at all.

This is a Winner's Pit that I made for our gaming group to make it more fun and thematic to track the racers as they cross the finish line. I recommend printing it at 9x5 inches and gluing it to a piece of MDF so it matches the PitchCar standard a bit better.

Zip file includes PitchCar TrackBuilder files showing the tracks included in the base set and Ext. No. 2 instructions. Tracks 2 and 5 from Ext. No. 2 have been slightly modified. Tracks 8 and 10 cannot be built with the PCTB at this time as they require multiple sets.
