Description Edit | History

Players take up the roles of famous pirates navigating the major sea lanes during the golden age of piracy. Plunder and pirateering await as each player moves about on the map in a variable system through a deck of cards. Rather than the normal turn order in games, players move when their designation is drawn in a deck. When not in the role of their pirate they can take on the role of one of the English military ships hunting the sea for pirates. By making shrewd choices and having some luck the player can end the game a wealthy and retired pirate with a large fleet of ships that have been accumulated over the years.

2 Player Order Turn Cards
Use these cards as a replacement for the original turn order rules. Use as many cards as there are players. Pass them out and once all have been used, shuffle and pass them out again. This eliminates the frustrating feature of the original game where a player could get multiple turns in a row while another player could get none. This way all players will get a turn and the worst that can happen is the player who goes last in one round might end up going first in the next.

9 Mike's Boiled Down Rules for Blackbeard
I really enjoy this game, but the rulebook seems very poorly organized, and I find it difficult to find the rule that I'm looking for. I created this "Boiled Down" version that an experienced player can use as a play-aid, with the rules in a (hopefully) more intuitive order, with references to the specific rule included. This may not be the best way to organize it, but I think it's better organized than the original.
