Abel Alves

Abel Alves is a comic writer and cartoonist that has spent years trying to make himself a place in the complex world of professional cartoon strips.

However, he's a bit unfocused: studied Labor Relations, started the Psychology career, tried competitive examinations, worked as webmaster for a telecommunications company and as a drafter for an engineering firm... He also draws a weekly page for the Galicia Hoxe newspaper, as freelancer.

LIKES: Gore and terror movies, japanese culture, aikido, playing guitar, darkish literature and gothic rock.
DOESN'T LIKE: lentils, etiquette, the canis.

DRAWING STYLE: He's mainly influenced by the spanish comics of the 80s and 90s, all the Bruguera generation. Also, every cartoonist of his generation has been touched someway by manga, so his style is a blending of all that with a touch of more actual cartoonists as Manel Fontdevilla or Mauro Entrialgo.
