Originators of the "Right Toy for the Right Age"

Abbatt Toys was set up in 1932 by Paul and Marjorie Abbatt, and became an important producer of educational games. The Victoria & Albert museum of Childhood has a collection which houses their archive of games, donated in the 1970s, alongside other British manufacturers such as Hornby's, Waddington's and Spears
In 1936, they opened a shop in London, in which children were encouraged to handle and play with their stock.
The company was sold in 1971 following the death of Paul Abbatt to an educational supply company.
