Episode: Episode 62: Starry, Starry Starshell ( 0 MB / 0:00)
It is not Night Part 2. It is a sad, sad, day. Jeff has been called into work on the night we are scheduled to record Episode 62, and Dave is faced with a difficult decision. Should he wait to record with Jeff, or carry on, at the risk of producing a rather boring show? Dave has chosen (maybe unwisely) to forge ahead on his own. This very episode is the result of that decision. On the plus side, this episode does bring you a look at the Allied Minor AFV cards from Fanatic Enterprises (out of print but available from Alex Key), and a one sided Movie Review of Von Ryan's Express. Many listener's will enjoy the song Houlie Dice. There is a nice Starshell Tutorial that can teach you about those bright things in the night sky. Though you haven't heard the starshell rules explained in Night Part 2 yet, you will still find the tutorial informative. Dave also discusses the PAASL Club and hopes you will be encouraged to start your own.

Recent Good Old Games releases have gotten Rob thinking about what he wants to rescue from the past (besides Troy, that is). Julian doesn't think the distant past is the big problem, it's the games of the late 90s and early 2000s. Everyone agrees the LucasArts situation is a disgrace. Troy says Alpha Centauri doesn't hold up all that well, and is swiftly nerve-stapled and loaded into the Punishment Sphere.

Episode: D6G Ep 96: Ares Project Interview & Eclipse Detailed Review ( 161.15 MB / 234:27)
Geoff Engelstein joins the D6G crew as our third chair. This episode we check out the new 4x space conquest game Eclipse. What does it bring new to the genre? But up first: We ask Geoff to round up his son Brian and we discuss all the trials, challenges and rewards of designinga game.  What did it take to get their game "The Ares Project" to store shelves?
