Uhuuu. Carnaval, that means boobs on the runaway.

These are the Rules

Who can participate?
Everyone can take part of the system, with the following exceptions: new users cannot list items unless they are a patron.

How to bid for an item?
If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning:
1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game.
2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item, and if there are bonus for multiple geekgold bid.
3. The bid is binding. Which means that once you bid the item it is assumed that you read the entry completely, understood and therefore want to take part of the drawing. The lister doesn't have an obligation to give your tip back although most won't have an issue. If for some reason an user withdraws from a lottery and should not be chosen as an winner, the lister should contact me to have his name ignored.

How to put an item on the lottery?
If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold:
1. Post it as an item on the list.
2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box
3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much.
4. Specify when your item will close for entries.
5. You can post Board Games, Video Games, RPGs, and related items. You cannot make a lottery for Geekgold or something completely unrelated the main entry, although these types of item can be added as bonus or as second winners. You can put gift cards as long as it is for an store related with the domains (i.e. no gift card to a convenience or department store allowed, but one for steam, funagain, drivethru rpg, etc can be raffled).
6. Always link to the correct item on the database. So if you are auctioning the Video Game version of Puerto Rico link to Puerto Rico and not to Puerto Rico.
7. To guarantee that the item will appear on the subscription page, allow for at least 1 week between listing and drawing.
8. Miscellaneous game entries, like FIMO miniatures, pimp items, etc should be added using Miscellaneous Game Accessory, Miscellaneous Miniatures Game Accessory or Miscellaneous Card Game Accessory as appropriate.
9. The item must be draw between February 1st, 2012 and February 29th, 2012

Specific rules for types of item
1. For board games, contact me before adding homemade versions of non-Print and Play games.
2. For RPGs remember that the spirit of these lotteries is one of fairness. So, make sure that if you offer a PDF version of a given book, that you have the right to resell it, put on the item that it is indeed a PDF. Personal scans, illegal digital copies and xerox of books are not permitted.
3. For video games, no pirated or bootleg version is allowed. Remember that some online versions have pretty strict rules on what you can do with your copy. So when offering a game, make sure that you indeed can transfer the full ownership of it to the user. In case a new potential user would have some restriction with the new game, like not been allowed to access official online serves, add this information to the post.
4. If you are in some way connected with the item in question, either as a publisher or as a designer, contact me before posting any such item. And send me the wording you intend for the entry.

What to do when the lottery ends?
1. When closed, use the Copycat Awesome Tool to select an winner.
2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game.
3. Send them the game.
4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that.
5. When an item is closed don't delete them.

How to use the Copycat Awesome tool?
1. Go to Copycat Awesome Tool;
2. Use your BGG login and password to log into the tool. The password is not kept by it, but it is sent directly to BGG for authentication.
3. On the Home Page of the tool there is a list with all of your listed items, just click on the correct one;
3.1 Optionally go to Items->Check Item and type the unique id for your item. To get the number right click the Postdate on the geekitem and check the #itemid part, that is the id;
4. Once you are on the item page, click the Roll Item button. The button will appear on the beginning of the date you want the drawing, as seen by the server (the server is located at the GMT-4 timezone)
5. The next page will have the name(s) of the winner(s) and a block of text you can copy to post on the tool if you want.

What should I do if the tool is incorrect?
Part of the tool is updated manually by me. The drawing date, number of winners, bonus and rules, are added by me on the tool based on what is written on the item. I usually do an update a week, so after I do that your item should correctly appear on the tool.
Before you draw check if the item is correct. Check the number of winners that are activated, the amount of geekgold tipped, and if the rules are correct. In case there is any problems, contact me before rolling the item. I will fix the issue and contact you back so you can roll the item.

I want to use a different bonus structure, can I?
The answer is maybe. The tool is vary powerful and customizable but some things it can't do. By default, anything dealing with other items can't be done easily, nor can anything that is not a mathematical change on the geekgold. It is possible though to add special rules to items, so contact me before listing the item so I can tell you if it is possible. In the case the tool can't do it and I can't add,you can't use.

I think there is something wrong on an item, what should I do?
If you suspect that something is wrong with any item on the lottery, please contact me by GeekMail explaining which behavior you saw that got you suspicious. If you won an item and the lister is logging but not contacting you, or has disappeared from BGG contact me as soon as possible. If the item should have arrived already but hasn't and the lister is not being cooperative or answering your inquires, also contact me so we can solve this in a timely manner.

Can I tip back people who tipped me?
Yes, you can use the GeekGold any user tipped you to tip on one of his items for lottery, but with discretion. You are not allowed to enter in collusion with an user to circle tip each other to get your chances very high. Doing so will remove both from the lotteries and take the geekgold incurred during it. Simple getting a tip and tipping back is not a problem. If you realize that there is an item one user has that you really want, and he really wants one of yours. Propose a trade (users are encouraged to add, before listing, items they want to lottery off on their Trade list), and if it goes through you reimburse the geekgold of every other participant.

Additional rules and guidelines
1. Don't update more than once a day;
2. Editing for the sake of trying to attract people is bad behavior. Doing it everyday (countdown to draw) is even worst. When an entry is updated I go check it to see if I have to change anything on the tool entry for it, and when there are half the items with updates, that can be a bit difficult;
3.Posting on the Game's Forums or on the General Gaming forums and GeekMailing users about the offers your put on the lotteries is considered spam and should not be done. We have a very high profile subscription thread on the GeekBay forums, which should take care of adding visibility. Rare will be the user that wants to take part but doesn't know already about it.
4. You cannot reserve a spot on the geeklist by adding a TBA announced post while waiting to post latter, just to have an earlier place.

Special notes
Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!

Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.

Special Note #3: This is more a personal request, please try to avoid over complicated bonus schemes and shipping thresholds. Although I understand and find it funny when an user goes with 10 different levels of free shipping with some countries here and there, I have to update this info manually on the tool for it to show on the update, and that delays the subscription update (a simple listing takes 10 sec, a more complicated can take up to 2 minutes)

World of Warcraft Trading Card Game: DARKMOON FAIRE

I found this at Goodwill. I have looked and looked trying to find a card list to see if everything that came with this originally is there...with no luck. So, since I don't know if it is "complete" I don't feel right trading it, so I put it up here for GG lottery.

The box is filled with cards in very good condition.

Shipping Free to the US...Free Worldwide at 100 GG.

One = 1 Entry
Three = 5 Entries

Bonus:
A $10 Toys R Us Gift Card if this gets to 250 GG.

Will be drawn February 29th.

Adam, I checked my own copy of this, and to be fully complete, it should contain:

- 1 special UDE Points card (or Loot Card, if lucky)
- 2 booster packs of Dark Portal set (15 game cards + 1 UDE Points card/each)
- 5 promo cards, being Blastenheimer 5000 Ultra Cannon (Ability), Sayge (Ally), Silas Darkmoon (Ally), Darkmoon Card: Madness (Item) and The Darkmoon Faire (Location)

Hopefully this helps!

Thanks for the help Francois.

None of those promo cards are here. I have no idea what a UDE Points card would be, or a Loot Card.

Here is what I do know. There are 72 total cards here. 4 of them are different in that they are two sided "Heroes".

OK, it looks then that someone used a Darkmoon Faire box as storage for some cards, maybe a deck + extras...

In WOW, sets and rarities are easy to check: set name + cardnr/total - e.g. "DARK PORTAL xxx/319" for Dark Portal - is a bit left of the middle on bottom of card, where common cards have this in white, uncommon (incl. all starting Heroes) in green, rares in blue, and epics in purple.

BTW, thanks for ! Not necessary, but much appreciated!

One lot of ten (10x) Crown Royal bags with draw strings. These are an excellent accessory to have around, as you never know when you will need a chit bag, a token bag, a holder for your stash, or a fashionable dress for your lemur.

When laid flat, these measure 7 inches wide at the top and 9.5 inches long. They taper nicely at the bottom and have attractive gold draw strings at the top. All clean and ready to be filled.

Condition: Excellent condition.

Entry:

1 = 1 entry
5 = 6 entries
10 = 13 entries
20 = 30 entries

Shipping: Free to United States.
Free to any dweller on the planet Earth above 350 GG worth of bids, otherwise winner picks up the cost above $5 via USPS shipping.

Entry Deadline: by February 29, 2012 @ 5:59PM Central US Time

This one is in some form of limbo. I got a database error trying to roll it (though my other entries rolled fine). On trying to roll again, I got a duplicate key error. I guess we will have to wait for Sol to sort it out.

Item:

On offer is my build of my game, Octopath. This has been lying around in my 'finished' pile for a while, largely out of apathy after a very well known publisher decided to look at it, but after 9 months said no thanks. Anyway, I eventually got around to putting it up on the geek, complete with all the stuff you need to PnP your own copy.

Octopath, like most of my games is a fairly light family/gateway sort of game: my group tends to not play much else. It is a tile laying game with a nice little hook in that it has two types of tiles: big octagonal ones and small square ones. Players try to build completed paths between the mines that are on some of the mountain (square) tiles, whilst trying to pinch roads from others by careful tile laying. Although it is fairly simple it certainly rewards skill: one of my daughters has beaten me nearly every time we have played. You can't imagine just how embarrassing that is ...

For those without the PnP skills, materials or temperament, here's a copy I built earlier.

My build has greyboard (= chipboard in the US of A) tiles: 4x18 = 72 Octagonal ("valley") tiles and 90 mountain tiles. Bags of gold used as currency/VPs are also on greyboard. It comes with a draw bag for the mountain tiles, and 5 meeples for each of up to 6 players, all in a box that is probably a bit too big, but there you go. Comprehensive rules, and even a 4 page "getting started".

As usual I am offering free shipping worldwide.

Entries:
1 = 1 entry
5 = 6 entries
25 = 35 entries
100 = 150 entries

Bonuses:
None for now, but if the numbers get silly, I might contemplate offering a second, etc., set.

Shipping:
As ever, free shipping worldwide.

End date:
Unless I am unavoidably detained, the draw will be made on February 29th, UK time.

Frog and toad, like most of my games is a fairly light family/gateway sort of game: my group tends to not play much else. It is a curious little race game, somewhat influenced by Hare & Tortoise - my view of what Hare and Tortoise might have been if approached from a euro reference point. So it has an action point mechanic, where the first part of each turn is the players choosing the actions they are going to take, and the second part is taking those actions. Amongst the actions available are some to change the order of selecting or taking actions, together with simple walks to more complex hops for the froads (they can't make up their minds whether they are frogs or toads), which has one going forwards and one going backwards. Bonus tokens are also available to be earned on certain squares, or by moving backwards.

For those without the PnP skills, materials or temperament, here's a copy I built earlier.

My build has labels stuck onto a premade board. The bonus tokens are thick double-sided card, and there are two meeples for each of up to 6 players, two action cubes each, and a pile of other cubes to indicate game settings. Comprehensive rules. I intend to provide a large box (like the Octopath box, above) but have not even done a top for my copy yet. I will post a picture of the entire build once done.

Yes, plenty of time. So no need for it to be a small bid

Oh, wow, this is so awesome. The first time I've ever participated in a G4GG lottery, and I win not just one, but two items; and they're the exact two items I was most hoping for, too! I think I'm going to be hooked to these lotteries now. (Or at least, I would be if I hadn't squandered all my hard-earned geekgold on this first run. Guess I'll have to take lots and lots of photos of this game when it arrives to earn some more. *g*)
This game sounds absolutely perfect; my gf loves everything having to do with frogs, and the game itself should be right up our alley, too. Thanks so much!

New in shrink copy of Power Grid.

In honor of my grandfather, a new in shrink copy of Power Grid.

I really wanted to do this before the new year but just couldn't get the funds together.

1 for 1
5 gets you 6
10 gets you 13
100 gets you 150 entries

Bonus if this reaches 1000 I'll throw in a set of the Power Grid: The New Power Plant Cards
BONUS ACTIVATED . . . ENGAGE COOLING RODS

NEW Bonus 1/31 if this reaches 2000 I'll include a PG map expansion of the winner's choice

(note to be chosen from those available from Amazon or your local equivalent at regular retail prices ~$15 USD) I reserve the right to just buy everything online and have it shipped to you directly if that is cheaper than sending separate packages. If the winner can't find an expansion they like we'll work out something in the $15 range.

BONUS ACTIVATED . . . Open Thermal Exhaust Ports

I reserve the right to add more bonuses as I see fit.

Shipping is free world wide as always.

Happy bidding

I'll draw on the 26th of February using Sol's tool of course.

Edit: 1/31 added $15 USD PG map pack if reaching 2000

Don't despair, I once won an auction too with 5 and a .22% chance, so it's not impossible!

I know. That's why I'm still going. I have hope. I was just commenting on my luck streak. I did win some promos once though, so I'm not a complete non-winner. I just have yet to win a full game. I'm considering putting up one of mine in a month to generate some :bag but I'm not sure what.

That is the best way to do it. I actually like putting stuff up for lottery it is a great way to get rid of games that just aren't getting played. The danger comes when you start buying games just to put up for lottery devil

Challenging puzzle game for the Nintendo DS.

Bought used. Still has EB Games labels on the box.

I got stuck on the first round of safes to crack in the mansion you find yourself in at the beginning of the game, and never found a way to solve them.

Maybe you're up to the challenge, and own a DS?

Free shipping worldwide.

1 = 1 entry
5 bag = 6 entries
10 bag = 13 entries

Will draw on February 22rd and ship the next day.

Or, Potential Kickstarter Double Pack!

Up for lotteryin' is a copy of the newly minted Imperial Crusade Armada, in brand new, unwrapped condition. It's a clever little miniatures wargame that uses hard plastic cards and dry erasers to mark damage.

Includes markers, dice, tokens, a ton of ship-cards, and a measuring tape. It's a beauty, and I was thrilled to support it. If I wasn't already into the double digits of unplayed games, I wouldn't be passing on it, but it deserves a better home than I can give it.

Unlocked!: Also included is Kamakura, another Kickstarter card game. This is the first printing, so it has some of the slightly misprinted edges, but it doesn't affect play. It's a light little game, and I wasn't terribly engaged by it, but it's got a nice aesthetic sense, and simple rules.

Unlocked!: I'll also add a copy of Dan Dare, a modern reprint of a 1950's trick taking card game, unopened and unplayed, and delightfully retro looking!

1 = 1 entry
10 = 11 entries
50 = 60 entires
100 = 130 entries

Shipping: Free to anywheres and anywhen, but the chronotically displaced must pay for my return trip.

Draw Date: February 28th.

You know the deal: Sol's CAT Tool.

I know I said I wasn't willing to part with it last year... but boy, is that shelf filling up fast...

Up for lotteryin' is a well kept copy of the Wraith the Oblivion core rulebook. It's in fine structural condition, but it lacks the shine of brand new hard cover rulebook.

This was always my favorite of the Storyteller games, but I never every played it, and hell, I must admit I never will. To many little crazy new indie games to chew up.

May you get more games out of it than I did!

This one has a silly, mean spirited bonus. I really don't want to get rid of this book. Despite not being my favorite system, I love, love, love the layout of this book, the art, the borders... it all reminds me of storybooks of my youth. I'll never play this one either, but I don't want to part with it.

However, if this makes 1500, I will throw in my copy of Changeling: The Dreaming (Second Edition). But it won't. And I'll eventually throw it up on the lotteries in the next couple of months. So, ignore this part. Unless you really want it now.

The winner of the best polish wargame of 2010 award. The game is very hard to get outside of Poland. It is completely language independent and comes with rules in Polish, Czech and English (English and Czech rules may also be downloaded from the IPN website http://ipn.gov.pl/portal/pl/737/13339/Gra_303.html).

Out-of-shrink, played once, in very good condition.

Shipping is from United States, zip 85721 (AZ). The game is rather small and light, so shipping within US shouldn't be more than $7. I'll try to get you international rates in the following days.

Entries:
1 geekgold - 1 entry
5 geekgold - 6 entries
50 geekgold - 80 entries

At 700 geekgold I'm gonna offer free US shipping or will contribute first $10 to international shipping - UNLOCKED

Drawing: February 29th

More on shipping: the weight of the game (with the external box) is 1lb 6oz, so you can use the usps.com website to calculate the shipping costs.

Some examples (pp - parcel post, slow; pr - priority, fast):
within US: pp up to $9, pr up to $11
Canada: pp $8, pr $26
EU: pp $15, pr $35
rest of the world: pp $15, pr up to $40

Handmade Custom Fimo Scultures
This lottery is for 6 gaming pieces of your choice made from polymer clay. These will be a made to your specifications. Maybe you want some robots for roborally (they don't have to be my standard design?) Or figures that looks like you & your family? What if you missed the Flashpoint kickstarter campaign, firemen anyone? They can be for different games of course. Also if you just want to pick a set I've already designed then the figure count will be waved off (just in case you want say that Pandemic set someone else won.) Bear in mind that it has to be within my skill set.

I know. This wasn't a intended as a knock against Sol or his tool, but there were some problems with a few drawings this month. I drew a winner, for example, and then felt bad for him as Sol told me I had to redraw as there seems to have been a slight hickup.

I won this in a GFGG lotto last year and only played it once- I don't think it'll make it back to the table, despite being a pretty cool game.

It is used but in great shape. All pieces are in the box and the box is in like new condition.

This is for a tiny little teenie-weenie gaming surprise package. I can promise that it will contain dice and a small game. It will also contain some other strange gaming stuff. Maybe it will contain an expansion or a print-n-play game? My lips are sealed.

My only promise is I will have fun putting it together. I hope you will have fun opening it. I will consult your profile to try to match the items to your interests.

There will be no bonus entries because I am encouraging people to just drop a couple of on this - let's keep this all very tiny and fun. No big investments and no big promises. Just a little surprise. cool

Free shipping worldwide. It will come in a padded envelope.

Closes in the afternoon on February 29.

Here is an example:

Sigafoos wrote:
The package arrived yesterday! I saw it as we were heading out to dinner so I put it in the car and looked forward to getting back home.

Apologies for the pictures; they were taken with an iPhone against an extremely reflective table.

It's pretty big! I couldn't wait to tear it open. And oh, the things that awaited me inside.

Yeah. Yeah. To run down the list:

A set of poker dice.

Three "Cancer sucks!" bracelets.

Four bags of gold plastic army men (and women, I believe).

A bag of wooden lightening tokens.

Chronicle. I looked over the rules and this seems like a perfect fit for my gaming group (which unfortunately isn't meeting tonight like usual).

An issue of Spielbox. I've never read it before but I flipped through last night and it looks like there's a lot of interesting stuff inside (including a small game about the fall of Rome).

This is the coolest thing in my opinion. A dice bag made out of a rabbit pelt. I didn't have a dice bag, but I do now! Cate says she got it from an Ojibwa hunter at a Native American festival. It was wrapped in a plastic bag that looked like it had some red liquid inside it at one point, so my first thought was "...did she send me a dead animal?" I don't know where the liquid came from as it wasn't anywhere on the bag itself: it's in great shape! Now I need to find an excuse to roll some dice.

At first I thought this was a neat little toy gun. Then I saw the picture of a fly on the side and realized it was the greatest fly swatter of all time.

I'm speechless at how awesome this stuff is. Cate's generosity is overwhelming, and I pretty much have to offer something up in next year's Supporter Drive, right? Now I need to think up a game involving lightning and army men.

My two year old was already really late for bed, but he likes dice so I put the poker dice into the dice bag and let him take a few out and roll them.

Thank you, Cate! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I received my care package from Cate today, and it was ultra super awesome. If you're on the fence about entering, toss in a couple of GG. It's certainly a fun and special prize, as she tailors it to you specifically.

I'll post pictures of the loot later this afternoon.

Thanks again Cate! cool

EDIT: better late than never, someone always said. This afternoon, this evening, semantics. You've waited, now behold... THE LOOT:

The package arrived today. It's full to bursting! I was going to wait until I got home to open it, but my co-workers wouldn't leave me alone until I opened it. Oh darn.

Signed by Waldo kitty!

pile of loot! Let's look at the goodies:

3 Vasel Fund ribbons...

Walled Village promo! I was just about to grab this with my next promo order...

a personalized post card from Cate (happy gaming to you too!)...

Time's Up! Title Recall Sample. turns out that we've been playing a very similar game to this when we have a crowd up at the cabin, and we didn't even know it. Funny! ...

a Cancer Sucks bracelet...

a spinner for picking first player...

A little piece of Milwaukee: some Bucks playing cards...

dice! I love me some dice...

on top is a little basketball toy, on the left is a bag of jewels like those found in Ascension, but all different colors, and the right is a bag of little jets...

treats! I mean, er, if you talk to my wife, there were no treats in this package... whistle

Weilong, a neat looking PnP dice game...

some sparkly heart stickers, in time for valentine's day...

a really nice sand timer and a great dice bag...

...and Guillotine! This was even on my wishlist!

Thanks again Cate, it's a really special package, and I really appreciate it

Thank you Cate ~ I love it!!! meeple

I won Cate's surprise package from February's G4GG. It was my first time winning any G4GG, and since I have no idea what was in the package, I was "extra" excited about it!

The package was bigger than I anticipated. It made some noise when I shook it, which was exciting. It's like Christmas morning...in March! There were a lot of stuff in this package...

Take 1. Some sparkle heart stickers, Tichu, and a deck of poker cards! I love stickers, and Tichu was actually on my wishlist. Tichu was the German tin box edition. All the rules were in German...good things the cards weren't shake (That's me laughing and shaking my head @ my own jokes...). I'm also a big fan of playing with just regular cards. My favorites are Chinese Poker (a.k.a. Big Two) and Egyptian Rat Screw (a.k.a. Earth).

Take 2. A dice/game bag, a game-in-a-box game, two sets of wooden tokens, and a bag of airplanes!

Here's a closer look at the game that came in the box. It's titled "Dschunke: Das Legespiel" (or Junks - The Tile Placement Game). It appeared to be a homemade game. The tiles you see here are actually Jenga pieces ~ it's like a two-in-one game! How awesome is that!? It did come with a small rulebook. I was actually intrigued by how it was folded/constructed. There were two links printed on the rulebook, I'm posting it here for those of you who are interested.
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/16497/rat-hot
http://spiele-aus-timbuktu.de/

I have to say this is my favorite thing in the package. I really love it. I admire the craftsmanship and love the colors. And so, I was really, really sad when I realized...

The poor thing was broken. cry It was suppose to be a wood carving + pen. The pen writes pretty well actually. I'm really sad...but I'm also glad that the pen broke above the ink reservoir so it didn't spill. In honor of this beloved pen, I made the following image.

We may never find out what really happened...

And there were some chocolate to help ease the pain

I almost forgot that there were stuff in the bag! A sand timer (a little short of 2 minutes, but shhhhhh, don't tell the other gamers), two rubber stamps, some dice, a crazy monkey finger puppet (I think), a bag of crystals (reminded me of Mage Knight), and some more cool dice (I really want to find a game that uses these dice, they look awesome), and a spin-4-it (I really wanted one, too. This was one of the reasons I bid for the package).

Here is a closer look at the rubber stamps. TTR anyone?

Remember I told you about the crazy monkey?

Thanks again Cate. I really enjoyed going through the package and I loved the surprises! meeple
