Thermopylae

Having recently reread Steven Pressfield's Gates of Fire for the umpteenth time, I was interested in finding a good game on this one-sided battle. I appear to have been unsuccessful. Most interesting I think would be a solitaire system that wedded the land battle with the Athenian "wooden wall" naval defense at Salamis. Add on if I've missed anything here.

Was excited to find this right off, especially with Craig Grando as the artist. But the game's incredibly low rating speaks poorly for the system... I take it this is not the winner.

Low end production values, but for $5, what can you say? How does the gameplay measure up - this seems more detailed, and the area movement probably works well for this topic.

Older game, apparently even more detailed. Is this system worth exploring if one can get their hands on it? Is the map historically accurate?

Broader simulation of the wars, but says it includes tactical battles. Presumably Thermopylae would just be abstracted though. Does this relatively high rating reflect more on the nice components or the system itself?

Does this old SPI game perhaps include a Thermopylae scenario? Talk to me about this one, worth hunting up?

Recent GMT game on Salamis, would this system blend well into a combo game with the land battle at the gates?

Almost no info here, what's up with this one?

Have you read Frank Miller's graphic novel, 300? There is a movie of it that is due out this year.
