My wife thinks I'm a huge DORK (and she's right). I've tried playing games with her without much luck, so I want everyone's feedback on what games are the best to introduce her (i.e. get her hooked) to games.

This "classic". She picked this one out one time when I drug her to Goodwill. We played it once (took 4 hours). I told her I can't find it and I don't know what happened to it.

See a trend here? I do. Another Goodwill find by her. Is it too much to ask for her to play a good game? Or should I just be happy she want's to play anything at all? Of course here's another of her favorites.....

This is a great game for a couple to play together. Its like putting together a puzzle and scoring points for it. Very easy to play. Plus it has meeples, and chicks dig meeples.

I'm sure at some point or another, you've played War with a standard deck of cards. This is like War, only you have to actually think a little bit. Perfect game for 2, takes about 20 minutes to play a game.

I first introduced Carcassonne to my girlfriend. She loves doing puzzles so I figured it might be right up her alley. She loved it and kicked my you-know-what every time we played this since.

Give this one a try. My wife enjoys it and you can play one hand (it's a card game)in 10 minutes. There really is no theme to this game except trying to build suits of cards in ascending numerical order.

My wife likes this game because it takes 15 seconds to learn the rules and you can play one complete round of this game in 5 minutes (no matter how many players), yet it's interesting enough. It's great during cocktail hour before dinner, or just before bed.

Love this game. Easy to teach. Fun to play & scales 2-6 players well.

This one is good for a fast game, is cheap, and seems to be liked by my girlfriend a lot(likes lots of card games).

This one is loved a lot by my gf as well. Easy to play, and plays nice with two even though getting beaten by a fake player is lame heh.

I was really suprised that my wife agreed to let me teach her this one. But I think the plastic volcano helped alot. It also did not hurt that she got all 7 omens that first game and made a conga line of my pawns to a firey death. Out of 4 games played this month, she has won 3 and asks to play whenever we have friends over now.

Wow...just wow. That IS bad. shake

If I were you I'd say to her, "Imagine what it would be like if I picked out your clothes and shoes and makeup. Got that picture in your mind? Good, now let me pick the games."

I think he was trying to combine "girl" and "a" as if it were informally spoken like, "Get Your Girl'a Game."
