d10-1 I love dice! I collect dice and also games with special dice.
This list is a compilation of games with special dice.

d10-2 Note that most of my favorite games, such as Agricola, Carcassonne, and Puerto Rico do not involve dice. I purchase dice game for family gatherings or quick fillers.

d10-3 I have many more dice that are outside the scope of BGG and not part of any specific game. They would be too numerous to list here.

d10-4 Photos are courtesy of other Board Game Geeks, unless otherwise noted.

d10-5 Note that entries on this list are dice related items. Though they may not directly be dice, I felt that they should be part of this list.

d10-6 Please feel free to add your recommendations to this list. I realize that there are hundreds of games out there with specialty dice and that this list is not comprehensive.
If you do add a game, please also add a medium-size picture of the dice.

They are metal. Looks like they are a soft metal though similar to what Games Workshop uses for their mini's. There was a link on the page that showed how to rate them for damage to see if they could be included in tournaments. It seems the finish can rub off and the can get scratched or dented with use. http://irondie.com/Collezionismo.aspx

The information you are quoting relates to the first "limited" series of dice. The website needs updating. The second "unlimited" series is hitting stores as we speak. The new dice are produced using a completely different manufacturing process. Everything from the metal alloy used to the molding technique to the varnishing has been improved. And the publisher says that the unlimited dice are much more regular and much more resistant.

I actually own two different sets of non-transitive dice.
However, I have decided to keep this list focused on special dice that come with games / or are directly related to games.

I just found an old bag of loose dice, these were inside it in a small baggy. Any idea what these dice are for? The purple ones have 4 of the circular design and 2 of the bat like design. The red one had 3 of the circle, 1 bat, 1 eye or possible paw print, and 1 lightning bolt.
