Welcome everyone to the October Edition of the Geekgold for Game Lottery. Thanks Blott for the amazing Idea and thanks everyone who took part last time.
These are the Rules
How to bid for an item? If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning: 1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game. 2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item.
How to put an item on the lottery? If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold: 1. Post it as an item on the list. 2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box 3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much. 4. Specify when your item will close for entries. 5. You can post both RPG Items and Boardgames. 6. The item must be draw before 31st of October 2009
What to do when the lottery ends? 1. When closed, draw a random name from those that have tipped your entry. If you allowed multiple entries remember to take it in consideration. 2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game. 3. Send them the game. 4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that. 5. When an item is closed I will move it to the bottom of the list. Please don't delete them
How to find the winner? You can use any fair method you like, like putting the names on a hat and drawing it.
Jeromie Rand
United States Denver Colorado
created an wonderful application that you can find here. It is very simple to use. 1. Got to the url by clicking here. 2. When you mouseover on the number of your item, you get a URL like this http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/46332/item/1043139#ite.... Your item id is the number after item, in this case it would be 1043139 3. As for bonus, for now the system can only work with given 1 for a given number of . For example, every 5 gets you 1 bonus. 4. You can limit too the amount of a user will be able to use to enter the contest
Special notes Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!
Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.
Winners and Drawn Items I will keep an item as the first item on this list keeping a link to all already drawn items and the winners so it is easier to check.

Edit: Thanks for pointing that I cut off 31st from October.

The game goes to the US! You'll get a geekmail soon. Thanks to all those who participated!
--------------------------------------------------- In the spirit of Halloween, I'm adding Kummituslinna (1986) a.k.a. Witch Witch?. Now's your chance to have a classic scary house!
This is the Finnish version, it has high-quality plastic towers and staircase. It uses a spinner, no event-cards, so it's totally language-independent except the rules. I'll attach an English translation for the winner.
It's a used and played copy, but very well kept. The only damages are to the cardboard in the spots where the plastic clips have been attached. These damages are covered once the whole house is mounted. I've uploaded some images to BGG of the game, the box cover on the left is also my actual copy.
This lottery closes Wednesday October 7th, 2009, at 15:00 CET, so it can be shipped on October 8th if the winner is outside of Europe to hopefully arrive on time for Halloween.
1 = 1 entry in the lottery. Multiple entries allowed, maximum TEN entries per person.
I'll cover economy shipping to anywhere in the world BUT if the winner wants priority shipping, I'll split the shipping costs 50-50 with the winner.
UPDATE September 23rd: Many are probably SCARED AWAY by the shipping costs, so let's just go crazy here as this is GAME FOR GG, not PAY-A-LOT-OF-SHIPPING FOR GG. I'll cover economy shipping (pace of a pack mule). If you want faster delivery, I'll still split it 50-50 with winner for priority shipping. This also means I'll raise the maximum entries to ten. (If you add more than ten, I'll consider it as tipping towards my shipping, thank you very much!)
UPDATE October 6th: There's 21 hours left on this lottery item, so here's your chance for a GHOST CASTLE to Halloween. The rules are translated into English. I'll list all the entries according to alphabetical order (with maximum ten entries per person), and use random.org to decide the winner. The winner will be announced within an hour after the entry deadline ends. Good luck to all of you!

Congratulations!
This copy of Conquest of Pangea has been sorted, but never played. The box is like new, with some very minor wear on the box; the components are pristine. It even maintains a hint of that new game smell
I will ship to continental US via UPS Ground at my expense. I will ship internationally via USPS Flat Rate and split the cost with the winner, 50/50.
Multiple entries are allowed, and every 5 entries will gain you an extra one free. Thus, every 5 will net you 6 entries.
The drawing for this game will take place on October 9, 2009, using jeromier's drawing application.

This game is designed as a introductory level hex and counter wargame and was published in GMT's C3i magazine issue #20. There is no box (it was included in a large plastic baggie with the magazine), but it comes with a map, rules booklet and cardboard counters; I'll plan to ship it in a padded envelope. The game has never been played.
This looks to be perfect for someone new to wargaming or interested in trying it out. I'm afraid I'm too far gone now.
Multiple entries accepted.
Shipping is freely covered in the lower 48 united states. Elsewhere in the world, I'll cover the first $5 and ask that you provide the remainder.
Entry will close 3 October 2009.

BIDDING Multiple entries are allowed, 1 GG per entry. I'll ship anywhere in the U.S. for free and cover the first $10 for shipping anywhere else.
CONDITION I bought this used and it falls squarely in the GOOD condition category. Cards are in fine shape and unmarked. The box has wear on the corners. Comes with black and white rulebook (a facsimile, I believe) and some handy reference sheets for other players.
CLOSING TIME I hate auctions that go on too long. This item will close on Friday, October 9th at 5:00pm, Eastern Standard Time.
MISC I already have an avatar and MBs, I'd just like some GG for tipping. So many of my friends have this game, it's really superfluous.

Condition:
I've got a complete / unpunched copy of JKLM's Macht Und Ohnmacht up for auction. The game is in near perfect condition. I think one or two of the counters have fallen out of the punchboard, but have been pressed back in - giving you that 'happy punching sensation' !!! This was a game that I won, that Mrs A has constantly refused to even want to try - the theme and overall 'look' of the game just didn't appeal to her.
Bidding: One Geekgold= One entry. Multiple entries are allowed. I will close bidding on October 9th at 9pm Central Time.
Shipping: I will cover shipping to anywhere to the tune of one $1 for evey ten raised. Winner pays any difference or can pay 10 for every $1 difference.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER OF CAPITOL:
Lamont Dyck
Canada Moose Jaw Saskatchewan
********************************************************************* Here we go. This lottery is for ... (drum roll please) ...
Capitol by Alan R. Moon and Aaron Weissblum. An excellent game. It is out of print, has never been printed in English and is an SDJ recommended game.
Z-man is coming out with a reprint with a different theme, but here's your chance to get the classic version for minimal investment.
Condition: The rules are in German. The components are language neutral. The box is in excellent condition. The game has been played several times but is in great condition. Minor wear on the cards of the sort you would expect after a couple of plays. The insert is fragile and has some damage to it. Due to a production error one of the 90 wooden blocks is half sized. It doesn't affect game play assuming you ever manage to use all 90 blocks during the game. A print out of English rules is included.
Rules of Entry Each 1 GG donation to this geek list entry gets one entry in the drawing. Multiple entries are allowed. The winning entry will be chosen using random.org. The winning entry will receive the game.
But wait there's more! In addition to the entry that wins the game there will be second place winners. I will do a second drawing and the winner of that drawing will win 10% of the GG I collect as part of this lottery. For every 50 GG I collect as part of this lottery I will choose an additional 2nd place winner. So, if I collect 102 GG, one person will win Capitol and three other people will win 10.2 GG. (The same person cannot win multiple drawings as part of this lottery.)
EDIT: THERE WILL BE A MAXIMUM OF THREE SECOND PLACE WINNERS
Contest End Date The drawing for this lottery will take place at some point during the day on Saturday, 10 October 2009.
Shipping I will ship the game anywhere in the world via USPS. Winner to pay me the shipping costs via Paypal. The box weighs 4 lbs. and will be shipped from Tucson, AZ 85747.
Feel free to ask me any questions!

Will this insanity never cease? Is this truly the fourth game I'm offering up to the Geekgold Lottery Gods?
INCONCEIVABLE!
(Seriously, this is my fourth offering, and I'll tell you why — something's got to feed my crack-like addiction to entering all these other lotteries.)
I assure you entering the raffle for this game is better than getting involved in a land war in Asia or going in against a Sicilian when death is on the line.
The game in question is basically new, having only been removed from its outer shrink. All cards are still shrink-wrapped and the game pieces are in their original packaging.
One GG = One Entry. Multiple entries are welcome so tip as much as you wish. For each multiple of 5 GG tipped per entrant, I will award a bonus entry (so 5 GG = 6 entries, 10 GG = 12 entries, and so on).
I will cover postage in the U.S. No international shipping. (I've known too many Spaniards).
All bids by individuals named Humperdink or swordsmen having six fingers on one hand will need to be pre-approved.
Those wishing to circumvent the lottery process by poisoning me should know that I've spent the last several years building up an immunity to iocane powder. Also, you can threaten me with rodents of unusual size, but I don't think they exist.
This item will close the night of Monday, Oct. 12.
Good luck, and have fun storming the castle!

--- I've spent all my GG on September Game Lottery, so I thought why not put a game, no two games, yes a THREE GAME BUNDLE, up for the lottery. I decided to go for an exciting Amigo-Spiele triple:
First off, Intrigue (a.k.a. Intrige) by Stefan Dorra. New in shrink.
Second off, Die Weinhändler by Claudia Hely & Roman Pelek (of Santiago fame). New in shrink. And last, but not least, Take 5! by Wolfgang Kramer. Played only twice, in excellent condition. All games are German editions but language-independent and English rules can be found on either Amigo-spiele homepage or the BGG. I'll attach colour print-outs to the winner.
This lottery closes Thursday October 15th, 2009, at 15:00 CET.
1 = 1 entry in the lottery. Multiple entries allowed. I'll cover economy shipping anywhere in the world.
UPDATE September 23rd: I've changed the shipping for my other geeklist item, so in order to be consistent, I'll cover shipping also outside of Europe for my bundle of Amigo games.
UPDATE October 10th: It's the last week of the Amigo-spiele bundle lottery, I'm giving you, the winner, the option to trade one of the bundle games against Are You A Werewolf?.
UPDATE October 14th: This item closes tomorrow around 16:00 CET (an hour later than announced). I'll list the names in alphabetical order and use random.org to draw the winning entry. Good luck!

Entries: 1 geekgold per entry. Multiple entries allowed.
Shipping: Due to the awesome response for this item, I am now offering FREE shipping to ANYWHERE in the world! That's right - if you happen to be playing games with the penguins in Antarctica, you can have this shipped to you at no cost.
Closes: This is a small item, so let's close it out sooner rather than later - drawing will be held on Thursday, October 15th. Random.org will be used to generate the winning entry number. Winner will be contacted via Geekmail, and item will be shipped the next business day after address confirmation is received.
Thanks for bidding!
