Welcome everyone to the November Edition of the Geekgold for Game Lottery. Thanks Blott for the amazing Idea and thanks everyone who took part last time.

These are the Rules

What this is all about?
This is a way to get rid of that game or game accessory you don't want anymore and make a some geekgold with it. There are few items that you can and some you can't put for lottery. If you are not sure that a given item is allowed, please contact me prior to listing it.
This list is about the PRIMARY item on a lottery, you can put anything you want as sweetener or as a second prize, but the main prize must be withing the rules.

Allowed items
Games
RPG Items
Game related things (player mats, RPG novels, etc)

Prohibited Items
Geekgold
Completely outside stuff (like novel books, unless game or RPG related)

How to bid for an item?
If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning:
1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game.
2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item.

How to put an item on the lottery?
If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold:
1. Post it as an item on the list.
2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box
3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much.
4. Specify when your item will close for entries.
5. You can post both RPG Items and Boardgames.
6. The item must be draw before 30th of November 2009

What to do when the lottery ends?
1. When closed, draw a random name from those that have tipped your entry. If you allowed multiple entries remember to take it in consideration.
2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game.
3. Send them the game.
4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that.
5. When an item is closed I will move it to the bottom of the list. Please don't delete them

How to find the winner?
You can use any fair method you like, like putting the names on a hat and drawing it.

created an wonderful application that you can find here. It is very simple to use.
1. Got to the url by clicking here.
2. When you mouseover on the number of your item, you get a URL like this
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/46332/item/1043139#ite...
. Your item id is the number after item, in this case it would be 1043139
3. As for bonus, for now the system can only work with given 1 for a given number of . For example, every 5 gets you 1 bonus.
4. You can limit too the amount of a user will be able to use to enter the contest

At November 15th I put together a new tool that can handle any kind of bonus thrown, given me time to register it. The how-to can be found on this post. Feel free to use it at will.

Special notes
Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!

Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.

Winners and Drawn Items
Subscribe to the Subscription thread but please don't reply to it. I will keep a list with all the items, the winners and those not drawn.

This exhibit is closed!! Give me some time to make up the spreadsheet and I will announce the winner as soon as I am able!

Note - this is the same entry as on the October list. You can find it here...

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/46332/item/1068980#ite...

Regardless of where you tip, all entries will be put together into a large spread sheet when I draw the winner. I am merely posting it here because technically it belongs here since it ends in November.

Well here I go again...

When I made the first two mystery boxes, I realized I had some other stuff that needed to go, so I made another mystery box and packed it up and then decided to make this geeklist.

I am taking a bit of a gamble here, since it is quite possible I might not get the same response my first offering got, but that's ok, I need to give a little back regardless.

Also, a couple of other things. I WILL be giving back some of the GG offered in the form of 10% for a second and third place finisher. Also people seem to like the whole "extra entry" thing, so every 5GG gets you and extra offer.

It goes without saying you can enter as many times as you like.

I will post from time to time with a hint or two to let you have an idea of what you are getting if you win. Also, to make sure that you aren't getting a box of stuff you would never play, I will review the winners wishlist and make sure they either get something off of that, or something along the same genre at the very least.

Also, if the response I get for this is anything like I had before, I will add other prizes as well. I have been very lucky lately with my winnings and I want to give back to the community a bit.

So, in summation:

Winner gets a Mystery Box with some games and other stuff inside of it. I will try and make sure the winner gets something they like, hopefully on there wishlist.

Two (2) Second place winners get 10% of the total GG offered

Enter as often as you want - every 5gg gets you a bonus entry

I will let this go until November 7th - hope this still qualifies for the October list.

*Edit* Sorry! Forgot shipping…I will pay for all shipping charges regardless of destination on this one. Free Mystery Delivery for all!

*Edit* We have now reached 458 GG total for this entry - I don't know if we will hit 1000 again, but if we do I will give away 2 mystery boxes at that time, plus the 2 second place 10% GG winners.

*Edit* Well I promised some hints and clues, so here are a few. Judging from what I can discern from the winner, the mystery box could include some of the following...

HINTS!!!

An excellent economic/bidding game that is highly regarded

A classic fantasy themed board game

An OOP Ameritrash classic

More hints to follow.

Feel free to guess - I may confirm your suspicions.

HINTS!!! - VOLUME TWO!!!

First things first, we got a little over 600 gg put up for this one and a week to go. Once again, if we get over 1000 gg then I will draw 2 winners for 2 mystery boxes. I don't expect to hit that, but if we do, cool.

Now onto the hints...once again, there is no guarantee any of these items will be in the box - just possibilities.

A Quintessential "gateway" game!

A hard to obtain expansion for a popular series!

A big bucket of stuff for a collectible favorite!

724 GG right now...exciting...

759 GG with 3 days to go - I will shut this one down sometime in the morning of the 7th, basically when my daughter wakes me up.

Hint#3

Trains, trains, trains...

Economics major anyone?

A classic game of negotiation and treachery, but not the one you are thinking of...no, not that one either.

787 GG now...will we get to 1000 (and thus 2 Mystery Boxes) by Saturday morning?

OK - so we had 885 gg offered up for this one, so 2nd prizes of 88.5 gg go to...

Since Geekgold lotteries are now on the prohibited list shouldn't the 2nd and 3rd place 'prizes' no longer be offered in this November lottery?

Alright! Guess what I got in the mail today! A mystery box from the frozen tundra of Minnesota where undead vikings roam

In the little box is ....

Catan: Traders & Barbarians which is one of the top things on my wishlist! Wow! Very cool! Something I've been looking forward to for a while.

Next was...

Catan Dice Game

A very nice little surprise that I think my wife was more excited than anyone to see! Methinks she likes quick easy games

Then we have a interesting little game that I think the kids and I will have fun playing with since it's about their favorite characters in the bible....

David & Goliath

You don't know how many times daddy has been slayed with smooth stones from his son and daughter already

Then, a very intriguing item called Read & Spin. A strange contraption that is made of magnetic disks with letters on the side where you can create words. My wife will be using it to teach our 5 year old to read, so that's pretty cool!

Last, but not a least, a set of playing cards and the most famous toy the world over.... sing it with me now...

" What walks down stairs, alone or in pairs, and makes a slinkity sound?
A spring, a spring, a marvelous thing! Everyone knows it's Slinky.
It's Slinky, it's Slinky. For fun it's a wonderful toy.
It's Slinky, it's Slinky. It's fun for a girl or a boy.
It's fun for a girl or a boy!"

I know the little ones will enjoy playing with that on our stairs.

Thank you very much, Lance. You're a extremely generous person, and my whole family thanks you! We'll have a fun with this I'm sure!

Why not, I'll try this =)

Version pictured. Complete. Components in very good condition. Box is sturdy but has a couple split corners and one tear which have all been well-repaired with clear tape.

Just for fun I'm going to go crazy with the extra entries thing.
5 geekgold gets you 5 extra entries!!
10 geekgold gets you 15 Extra Entries!!!
November 1 is my birthday and I am turning 30 so as a special birthday incentive any tip of 30 or more geekgold will get you 100 EXTRA ENTRIES!!!!

Shipping is your responsibility from 40065. If the geekgold response is good then I'll pay for the shipping myself. I haven't quite figured out yet what the magic GG number is for me to waive shipping costs, but I'll update this to let you all know if I feel the magic number has been reached.

100 GG Reached - Shipping will be FREE!! =)

SHIPPING NOTE:
I probably should have said earlier that shipping will be free in the US. I cannot really afford to ship for free internationally, so if you live in some far-off distant land then I will split the cost to ship half and half with you.

I'll close this on Nov 30 OR whenever enough GG has been tipped to satisfy my lust for it...

Have fun!

P.S. If you have trouble establishing or keeping a GG limit help is available. Call 1-800-CANTSTOP for some helpful free resources.

P.P.S. It is my birthday on November 1. Tipping in honor of my birthday is allowed and encouraged. =)

Edit for clarification: Tips over 30 GG will continue to earn additional entries and bonus entries for this drawing.

If I didn't already own two distinct versions of Acquire (the old 3M bookshelf version from the 1960s and the gorgeous 1998 Avalon Hill one), I'd throw all my GG at this. Acquire is my favorite game of all time. If you've never played it, you need to toss some GG at this and give it a try yourself.

CLOSED

Had this lying around for ages. Warehouse 23 sent me a copy in error on release.
Edition: 3rd Edition, 1st printing (August 2007).
Condition: Never opened the covers of the book, still keep it in original packaging, so perfect condition.
Entries: Maximum 50 per person. Every 5 you tip will give you one free extra entry.
Shipping: I don't expect a lot of action on this one, and it is pretty heavy (1200g), so have to take some precautions on shipping.
Shipping within Europe will cost an extra 100bag
Shipping outside Europe will cost an extra 200bag
If total donated is 75 or more:
Shipping within Europe will cost an extra 50bag
Shipping outside Europe will cost n extra 100bag
If total donated is 150 or more:
Shipping within Europe is free!
Shipping outside Europe will cost an extra 50bag
If total donated is 300 or more:
Free worldwide shipping!
Priority shipping will cost an extra 50.
If you prefer (or just don't have the GG) you can pay for shipping via PayPal instead; 1 USD per 10. Or you can mix between GG and $.
Drawing: Will close for entries midgnight CET on November 22nd and do the drawing as soon as possible on November 23rd using Jeromie Rand's wonderful tool.

EDIT 09-11-13: Significantly decreased the shipping costs and changed one free entry for every 5 GG instead of every 10.

EDIT 09-11-23: Tippers at the time of closing:
Almafeta 2.00 | hatemachine 1.00 | Omega2064 1.00 | Rindis 1.00 | SJBenoist 1.00 | Sjeezel 1.00

hatemachine and Omega2064 wanted to be kept out of the draw.

Using Jeromie Rand's tool, I got the following result:
Quote:
As a check, this geeklist should have received 7 geekgold.

There are 7 effective entries from 6 unique tippers

My random pick is: Almafeta

Congratulations and thanks to all who entered! Geekmail sent to the winner.

EDIT 09-11-24: Winner can't accept item. Item withdrawn (see comment).

I gotta be honest. I'm a GURPS fan and wanted this book, but after reading several lines of what was supposed to be clear details regarding the shipping, I said screw it. I'm all in favor of the free or not free approach, even okay with the terms where shipping is only free after a certain point is hit, but if you're going to make folks pay for shipping, just state that outright and say it will be sellers responsibility, regardless of where they live. You maxed it at 50 per user, on a listing that was clearly having problems drawing in tippers. I think folks were either turned off my the shipping terms, or had Too Long, Didn't Read syndrome. You had 6 different potential shipping charges, all depending on where the winner lived and how much the listing made in tips. Insane. If this book was going to cost so much to ship, perhaps it wasn't the best item to put up for worldwide lotteries. Sometimes you just have to weigh whether or not the earned, and what that could win you, are worth the costs of covering shipping for the items you put up, especially if stating that the item will ship for free gets you a ton more tips. Given that you only earned 7 I think it's clear something should have been done different. Either some other item that more people will be interested in, or different terms.

Sorry...bit of a rant there, but hopefully no hard feelings. Look at it this way. The winner turning it down means you can either relist it and make more or sell it elsewhere.

I have to agree with Brian. Although that doesn't excuse those who did bid for retracting. If they felt the way Brian did then they shouldn't have tipped. If they didn't read the shipping stipulations at all then that's their fault. But I do think you would have done much better with this lotto had the shipping been cheaper or less confusing. But you are free to choose to run your lotteries however you choose, it's up to the bidders to decide whether or not to enter and accept the stipulations when tipping. Hope this doesn't turn you off of the lotteries in the future.

First of all thanks everyone who "tipped wrong" for not demanding refunds (as is on the faq, only the magnanimous lister can choose to refund, as tips are, essentially, non-refundable). To Sir Gawain, I understand your frustration mate, specially after the people tipped, but thanks for deciding to give the money back, although it was not needed. I didn't expect my listing to go to high, specially with RPGs still building steam on the site, they don't go very high, probably because the most people draw were boardgamers.

The shipping policy was indeed a bit confusing, and I understand your point for sniper biddings, but I feel this time was just lazy reading. But Brian makes a good point about shipping. The clearer and leaner the better. It is even better to just put the bar a bit higher and not making the middle options as you did. That way, the TL;DR people won't have an excuse.

To everyone else: remember to read carefully!!!!

Thanks for everyone's views. It's appreciated. As for the "multiple levels", it was mostly a poke at 90% of the Americans who always overcharge for shipping outside their beloved states. That is, if they even bother considering sending outside at all. I didn't wanna leave them out and at the same time didn't seem fair to charge the same when (for me) it will cost twice as much as shipping to Europe.

Like I said earlier, one level for either free or not free shipping should probably be the best course, and it's what I'll do in the future. And no, it definatly hasn't scared me away from future lotteries. My Wolverine fig is doing just fine with it's free worldwide shipping ^^ so did my previous Guardhouse Expansion (extremely well, in my eyes).

CLOSED! See below for the Winner!

This game is one of our (Collins Epic Wargames) upcoming releases, now available for preorder direct or through local game stores across the USA and Spain.

The winner of this lottery will receive a brand new in shrink copy with a signed and numbered box. The number indicates the copy you'll receive is one of the first 20 off the production line from our printer. After signing and numbering the box, I'll then have it re-shrinkwrapped for you.

Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 is a fast-playing WWII card-based combat game that uses tactical squad-level Unit Cards and Command Cards to simulate combat along the tip of the spear, or Spearpoint, of the battle. Each 30-40 minute game is one intense and unique frontline combat engagement that features engaging cardplay, lots of tension, and hard-hitting strategy for two players.

For more information on the game, check out the BGG entry or the game's official page on the Collins Epic Wargames website: http://frontlinegeneral.com/html/spearpoint_1943.html

Shipping: Free, Worldwide

Entries: Minimum of 1 per entry and multiple entries are allowed. 1 Bonus entry for every 5 entered.

Closing Date: Monday, November 30th at 9 am EST

Draw Method / Notification: Jeromier's randomizer. The winner will be announced immediately and a geekmail will be sent to him/her to collect shipping information.

Retail Value: This game retails for $29.95 USD.

Special Note: Not unlike a lot of wargames, this game is currently a P500 (Preorder) item. Once we collect enough preorders, we will send the game to production. You'll receive a notice when we go to production via Geekmail and e-mail if preferred.

Edit: Added 1 Bonus entry for every 5 entered.

CLOSED! See below for the Winner!

This game was our (Collins Epic Wargames) first release, back in August of 2008, and is currently available direct.

The winner of this lottery will receive a brand new in shrink copy as well as an expansion accessory for the game, a Deluxe Vinyl map, which provides a larger, more durable playing surface than the included map, and rolls up for easy storage.

Frontline General: Italian Campaign Introduction is a two-scale Operational/Tactical WWII campaign board wargame set in southern Italy. Players may play the game entirely as a board wargame or optionally resolve key battles using player-supplied miniatures. Card-based Units (over 400 of them) provide all stats for movement, damage, and combat in the game and have been deeply researched for accuracy. Event and Command Cards are also included as well as a large array of other high-quality components.

For more information on the game, check out the BGG entry or the game's official page on the Collins Epic Wargames website: http://www.frontlinegeneral.com/html/italian_campaign.html

Retail Value: This game retails for $79.95 USD. The Deluxe Map retails for $20 USD.

Special Note: The rules for this game are currently undergoing their first revision after a year of play by the board wargamer and miniatures wargamer communities. The rules revision focuses on reducing the discursive nature of the current rules, incorporating some feedback, streamlining several key areas, improved organization, and more concise wording throughout.

Edit: Added 1 Bonus entry for every 5 entered.

9. Board Game: Formula D [Average Rating:7.15 Overall Rank:241]
Jeff Forbes

Lottery is now closed... awarding shall commence once I get the numbers and pictures sorted out!

Our # of tickets is 1125.....

Some of you may have seen 1121 - I miscalculated. My spreadsheet is right, now. Drawing commences now.

And... the winner is Angry Duck!

Second place goes to aquilaprime. He won my Catan auction last month, and, this time, he gets a choice of most of his bid back, or some nice, big, pro quality photo prints.

Formula D is a game I like the idea of, but don't know anyone who cares to play it. My loss, your gain!

This copy has been played twice. It is mostly punched out, though some of the player cards aren't done yet. Everything is intact, and the game is in like-new condition.

I will ship anywhere from the US, covering the first $15 in shipping fees to an international location - Domestic shipping is free!. Paypal or 10 / $ will cover the rest. It looks like shipping to Canada is about $25, Europe about $40 - probably not worth shipping over there, but you can be the judge of that!

1 per entry. 1 bonus for every 5 entered. No limit on entries.

Winner will be chosen by a random.org number.

[/b]Sweetener![/b]

Saboteur

Saboteur is a nice light filler for a bunch of people. It is opened and in fine shape, but the instruction booklet has gone missing, so you'll need to print your own if you want a paper copy.

Sweetener #2!

Mystery Cheapass game!

I've got a few Cheapass games I don't particularly love. I'll toss one in the package. Estimated value $5-8 or so.

Sweetener #3!

I am a photographer. I can include a photo print of your choice if you'd like. I have some pretty pictures!

Print will be sized for the box - probably 6x9 or 8x10. You can see more here:
http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/451960
http://jforbes.smugmug.com

This lottery ends at 1AM EST on November 18th.

Sweetener #4?
When the game gets to over 500, I will give a second prize winner a choice of photo prints in sizes up to 12x18 (At that size, you'd get one print, as opposed to 2 11x14s, 4 8x12s or similar)", printed from my pro printer as opposed to the Ritz/Costco prints I'll give to the main winner. These are very nice prints.

An alternate second prize can also be had if this game goes over 500 and if you don't want some photos - 10% of the could be yours!

THIS ITEM IS CLOSED

What's up for lottery?
A well used but in very good conditions copy of the second printing of this book. It has the name of the previous winner written in pen on the inner first page, but besides that it has no written in it.

When?
It will end at November 15th about midnight Brazilian time (GMT -3).

How much to entry?
This is no-limits lottery with a bonus entry for every 5 entered

How will I send it to you?
Since I'm a bit broken right now I will pay the first $15 internationally. That should mean you will pay about $4-$7 dollars of shipping anywhere on the world.

And there is more?
So guys, this is a classic, a good one. I have two copies of it, so I'm putting the best one up for grabs. As a sweetener, for every 50 this game, I will draw a winner that will get 20% of this entry Geekgold, so if it gets to 250 all will go back to you guys.

And the winner is?

Ever had a desire to play one of the greatest games ever designed? Now's your chance.

Netrunner was printed by Wizards of the Coast in 1996 and discontinued shortly thereafter, remaining out of print for thirteen years. Yet this game is still in the BGG 200. Why? It's, quite simply, a great game.

What Will I Get?
This auction is for a factory-sealed (never opened, never played) Netrunner starter set. The set contains two complete 60 card Netrunner decks, one for the Corporation side and one for the 'runner side, as well as full rules on how to play, in a nice little box. This is all you'll ever really need to play - with the starter decks alone, Netrunner is infinitely replayable.

Yes, factory sealed. Never tainted by human hands. Thirteen years out of print.

Where Will You Ship It?
I will ship it anywhere in the world that my local USPS branch will allow me to ship this item. International, whatever. If the United States Postal Service allows shipment into your country, I'll send it, no additional cost.

Entry Rules
One GG equals one entry. I'll use the awesome tool to determine the winner.

When Does the Contest End?
The contest is closed to new entries - if you drop GG in it now, you won't be rewarded with an entry.

I'm currently drawing the winner using the random tool.

And the winner is... l10n0fjudah! A GeekMail is on its way! Thanks to all who entered!

Still want a Netrunner starter set?
I decided to do another "Games for GeekGold" lottery entry for another factory sealed Netrunner starter set from my personal treasure trove. This one ends on November 30.

I ended up having 1 extra copy of this left over from my last print run. Its my self published game, lots of great input and reviews from the BGG commuunity but I would be remiss if I didn't highlight Ender's Pictorial review here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/449803

He liked the game so much he added it to his list of best two player games: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/33853/item/1061574#ite...

As for all my games sold or given away I will donate $1 to Heifer International - Learn more about how Heifer builds stronger communities around the world at www.heifer.org.

All the geekgold for this lottery will go to fund my game design contest. You can read more details on that at: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/449232

Details on the third printing are now available on the game page.

THIS LOTTERY ENTRY IS CLOSED!

What's up for lottery?
An unused copy of the first printing of 4th Editon of the Dungeons and Dragons Players Handbook. I never got a campaign going in 4th Ed, and since I started playing more and more board games, I stopped doing RPG's. I bought this more as a nostalgia thing, but I just don't see it getting used at any time in the future.

When?
It will end on November 15th about noon EST.

How much to entry?
This is no-limits lottery with a bonus entry for every 5 entered

How will I send it to you?
I will pay all charges for United States and Canada shipping (USPS Priority or equivalent), and the first $10 for all other international shipping.

And there is more?
As a sweetener, for every 100 this entry gets, I will draw a winner that will get 10% of this entry's Geekgold.

We have two winners!

First, the winner of the book is

Wait, really, is that right? Hm...that wasn't really my intention.

I think what I meant to say is that if this entry gets over 100 GG (not for EVERY 100 GG), I will do an extra drawing for 10%. So, for example, if it hits 200, I will do one extra lottery drawing with the winner getting 20GG.

But that isn't what I said, so I guess I have to go with Stuart's interpretation. 1,000 GG will get 10 winners and all the GG returned. If it goes over that, then I stop at 10 winners - I refuse to pay someone to take this book from me!

Given the pace, though, and the fact that most people who already want to play 4th Ed already own the PHB, I don't imagine this every really being big enough to generate an extra GG drawing, let alone multiple ones. I doubt I will have to do more than one drawing for just the book. Please make me wrong, but I am not shaking in my boots that this particular listing will generate a GG lottery, too.

But thanks for correcting my math.

Okay, it's time to start drumming up more activity on the RPG side of things.

I'm offering up a real gem here, a complete copy of the 1994 release of the Second Edition AD&D Ravenloft Masque of the Red Death boxed set, wherein adventurers get to experience the Gothic Horror of the 1890s, featuring adventures and rich setting information including historic and literary NPCs.

This material is also excellent for players of Cthulhu by Gaslight or other Victorian-era games.

The box shows a little wear, but the books and other materials inside are complete and in excellent condition.

Additionally, the box includes a complete printout of the PDF of the Living Death Living Campaign Setting that grew out of this supplement and some additional copies of relevant information from the main Ravenloft boxed set (and a few character sheets, to boot).

ENTRIES:
1 GG = 1 Entry. Every multiple of 5 GG grants a bonus entry (So 5 = 6, 10 = 12 and so on)

SHIPPING:
The GG Threshold has been met and SHIPPING IS NOW FREE WORLDWIDE!

I will cover shipping within the contiguous 48 United States. Winners outside of the lower 48 would need to pay actual shipping costs via Paypal. Given that, interested international entrants would be wise to contact me for a shipping quote before entering.

DEADLINE:
Lottery Ends the night of November 30.

EDIT
Shipping addendum:
If the bidding on this passes 50 GG, I'll cover the first $8 of International Shipping.

EDIT 2&3
The International shipping thresholds have been passed. I'm now covering the total cost of shipping anywhere.

-------------------------------------------------

EDIT 4:
Just one day left! I will be drawing this item between 5 and 7 p.m. Central time on Monday, barring complication.
By ending it earlier than usual (for me) in the evening, I'm hoping to have more time to collect shipping information and get it on its way as early as Tuesday. Good luck!

ITEM CLOSED.

I'm glad for the enthusiastic response. I feel much better knowing this set will find a good home than trading it in at the used book store or something. This is the last 2E supplement I held on to for AD&D, but I've come to realize somebody else will get more enjoyment out of it than I will.

thanks to all who participated!

What Will I Get?
This auction is includes the rulebooks and maps for the ALIENS board game and the expansion. Let me be clear about this - it is not a complete game; however, there are plenty of files here on the geek to make it fully playable. The items have minimal shelf wear from being, well - on a shelf for more than a decade or two.

Where Will You Ship It?
I will ship it FOR FREE to anywahere in the U.S., If there is any international interest, The winner will have to make separate arrangements with me to facilitate shipping

Entry Rules
I'll keep it simple, as this is my first go at this - One GG equals one entry. I'll use the application mentioned above to determine the winner.

When Does the Contest End?
The contest ends on November 15, 2009. I will log in on the morning of the 16th and choose the winner.

Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!

CLOSED Red November by FFG!

In great shape- except the yellow Gnome who apparently drank a little too much grog and became seperated from his stand (a little super glue and easy put him right)

I will draw mid month Nov 15th.

I will only ship to North America, and if I get enough geekgold to purchase an Avatar I will pay for shipping. If the lottery goes to 100 GG I will ship worldwide for free! Less than 100 it is free in N. American (thansk for the avatar!) and winner pays shipping to the rest of the world.

Multiple entries encouraged- one entry per GG.
#85 from random.org HATEMACHNE WINS

Thanks

edited: ship to the whole wide world!

Are you saying that if you get enough geekgold you'll:
a) pay to ship to North America but still not ship internationally; or
b) ship internationally and pay too

And how much geekgold is that (roughly)
Edit: opps, rereading the post answers the last question.

What does it cost to ship- general idea- overseas. I have a really tight budget......

The USPS page might give hints. Looks like a Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box costs about 13$ to anywhere in the world. Does it fit inside a 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" box?

I might pour some GG here, too, if you add an option of getting this to europe...

Sorry for the delay in drawing a winner.
I was knocked down by the flu. But don't worry I didn't breathe on the game books (didn't even enter the game room).

P.S. The winner was chosen via Jeromier's awesome randomizer tool.

Thanks to everyone who entered!!

I'm offering up the ANGEL RPG CORE RULEBOOK

SWEETENER:
I'll also include an unopened (Still in shrink) copy of the Angel Director's Screen.

This game is now out of print, so this is a great way to recreate your favorite characters or create a team of your own to hunt down demons and other beasties on your quest to defeat the Big Bad.

ENTRIES:
1 GG = 1 Entry. Every multiple of 5 GG grants a bonus entry (So 5 = 6, 10 = 12 and so on)

SHIPPING:
I will cover shipping within the contiguous 48 United States. Winners outside of the lower 48 would need to pay actual shipping costs via Paypal -$5 (So I'll pay $5 but anything above that you'll need to cover. Given that, interested international entrants should contact me for a shipping quote before entering.

DEADLINE:

Lottery Ends the night of November 20.
That way, you should be able to get it in time for some holiday weekend gaming.

I'm offering up a NAVIA DRATP two-player Demo Kit

This kit includes all the figures from BOTH the RED and BLUE Starter Kits. It's everything you need to play the game. No other pieces or kits required. Basically it's the same thing as buying both the Red and Blue starters, but you only get one board because…well, you only need one board.

CONDITION:
All the pieces are in unopened/never played condition, but the original white box is pretty beat up. I stored the components separate from the box, and no TLC was shown to the cardboard wrapper.

This gem of a game is out of print, so get it for a geek gold, and help me get that much closer to obtaining a sweet übergeek badge!

ENTRIES:
1 GG = 1 Entry. Every multiple of 5 GG grants a bonus entry (So 5 = 6, 10 = 12 and so on)

SHIPPING:
I will cover shipping within the contiguous 48 United States. Winners outside of the lower 48 would need to pay actual shipping costs -$7 via Paypal (So I'll pay $7 but anything above that you'll need to cover. Given that, interested international entrants should contact me for a shipping quote before entering.

DEADLINE:

Lottery Ends the night of November 20.
That way, you should be able to get it in time for some holiday weekend gaming.

What got you into gaming in the first place? From 0 to 350 in six months is an amazing sort of stat and I'd love to know what the spark that kicked started it all was.

Late reply, been busy, sorry.

One of my closest friend (tofuji on BGG) since junior high school started gaming about 6 months before introducing it to our regular group. It started with Blockus, but really grabbed us with Carcassonne, Bohnanza, and TTR. For me personally, all the cool abstracts attracted me since I started playing GO with my grandfather ever since I was four. We have a very close knit group of friends that mostly knew each other since elementry or junior high school, it was a new reason for us to hang out more. I was always the group organizer anyway, so I started our Friday game nights. Also, it was around autumn when we started gaming, so we played a little bit on Sundays too after watching football together. Our group was already 8-10 strong but mostly light to medium gamers. So I bought a lot of games to suit their needs, but also collected many heavier games in hopes that I'll get to play them someday. Since then, we have added some serious gamers to our Friday nights. They recently took us to LobsterTrap, where we met a lot of cool people. We're hoping to have the time to attend Gathering of Friends next year and meet more great people from this awesome hobby. If you're reading this and planning on attending next year, drop me a gm.

This is strange, I'm having the width issue again but there I don't know what could be causing it. Only with the geeklist lotteries.

Also, should we have the word lottery in the title of this geeklist? Make it easier to spot down the line? Thanks for making the Nov edition.
