This is such a great game. You just have to accept the realization that it's not really a standard RTS in the Single-player portion of the game but a bit more like an action-RPG game with RTS elements.
Fantastic graphics, sounds, voice-acting...it's a complete and polished game, the kind that Relic does best. Super fun...and the Chaos Rising expansion is all kinds of awesomeness, too.
Well, all I can say to my VideoGameGeek Secret Santa is THANK YOU!
I recevied a mysterious package from amazon.co.uk shop...and it's...a surprise!
The very nice gift package has a christmas card with the message:
Quote:
MERRY CHRISTMAS from yout VGG Secret Santa! I hope the elves got the whole PAL thing right!
I can only guess that my VGG Secret Santa is not European Don't worry my Secret Santa, you bought Sims 3....i mean, a surprise videogame gift to me from amazon.co.uk, it's perfect! You know, the PAL thing for Europeans
Oh, here it is the name of the game! So I must wait for the Christmas to open it? Thank you very much my VGG Secret Santa!(aka Andrew Spencer ) I'm one of the 8 VGG Secret Santa 2010 participants and I'm very happy about it!
Of course you're allowed to open it! I'm glad you like it. Indeed, PAL was something I had heard of before this season but really had no idea what it meant.
This arrived from Amazon.com just in time for Christmas. I loved the Donkey Kong Country series on the SNES and I hope this one is just as much fun. Thank you Santa!
Just got back from my family trip to find a Steamy gift in my inbox!
I'm someone who's slow to get games, and occasionally games that I know I want slip by because I'm getting other stuff at the time. I'm glad to see that Trine won't be one of those, especially with Trine 2 right around the corner.
I played the demo almost a year ago now and loved it. I can't wait to finally try the full game.
THANKS SANTA!
UPDATE
Apparently my Secret Santa wasn't satisfied being just a good Santa and wanted to really go above and beyond. I just got a package from Amazon containing not one, but two new games!
Chrono Trigger was one of my favorite games from the Super Nintendo era, when I had just developed enough of an attention span to play a game like Chrono Trigger, and I haven't played it since then. I've been wanting to do another play-through and so I got excited when I saw it was on the DS. I can't wait to fire that one up.
The Silent Hill series has always impressed me a great deal, yet somehow I have never actually owned or played through any of them in their entirety. I borrowed a copy of the original, but did not finish it before I had to return it. This will now be my first Silent Hill playthrough, and I hear it's quite good.
My new VGG Secret Santa (who replaced my deadbeat one) was incredibly generous!!! I just got my package from him and it was loaded!!! HUGE THANKS TO HIM!!
Maybe you should consider passing off your Admin duties so you can take care of the stressful stuff you have going on? Might ease your burden a little bit, Sol. We'd all surely understand.
Good luck, sorry to hear about all the stress going on.
