When playing this, or any flavor of Carcassonne on BSW, make sure you don't have Auto-zoom enabled when placing tiles or meeples. The auto-zoom has a nasty habit of misplacing your moves, and you can't take them back.
You can disable auto-zoom by clicking on the 1, 2, 3, or 4 buttons on the right side of the screen.
Remember, you can always drag the board around... but if you have a tile to play, be sure to grab an existing tile when you drag; otherwise, you'll accidentally play your tile.
I thought this one was not as good as the original CC but I was wrong, after playing some games on BSW I felt the potential. But what often keeps me from playing it is the awful gfx
IMHO, this game is vastly under-appreciated. Designed by the same person who created Puerto Rico (Andreas Seyfarth), Manhattan is a simple game to learn, though problematic to master. Unlike the face-to-face version, which offers variants for two- and -three player games in which the number of buildings chosen per round is altered, the BSW version keeps it simple - four rounds with six buildings per round, regardless of the # playing. I have personally taught this game in under 10 minutes to people who've proceeded to beat me at it their first try. While this might be an indication of my ineptitude, I suspect that it has more to do with the relative ease that its concepts can be grasped, combined with a "newcomer"s approach meeting a veteran's developed thoughts about strategy. In other words, like Puerto Rico, it'll keep you on your toes looking for ever-emerging new strategies to win. Join me out there. I'd be happy to teach it.
If you are talking about the window-filling games like Solitair, Mahjongg, Darts, Pacman,... then you want to go to: http://www.brettspielwelt.de/gate/jsp/base/full.jsp?url=../e... There is a drop down menu, which shows you the room numbers of all the SU-games.
It's a bit sad that these games don't show up on the All Games list anymore. It's a bit strange to find the room numbers and plug them in since I use the downloaded client, too.
Can't stop and Lost Cities are games you can easily find an opponent I think. SInce you really just need 1. Of course if you are trying at 3AM might be a little hard. But I think if you gameyell people will come. I never had problem finding opponents for those 2 games. SOme of the other games like Dvonn or Yinsh or maybe Medina and Manhattan might bea little harder to get opponents. Of ocurse I love bsw, it's the best! =) I would lilke to see Amun-Re on it and Samurai but I guessnot now, maybe not ever. =p
