iOS versions of Board Games

Recommend

Ever tried to browse the AppStore looking for board games? Did it leave you feeling frustrated? Questioned the validity of reviewer comments? Well, here's the GeekList for you. It's a collection of board games that have been ported to iOS, excluding knock-offs and clones.

There are five criteria I'm using for this list:

Games must be currently available in the U.S. App Store.

They must be board or card games (i.e., no CCGs, RPGs, deck shufflers, etc)

Games must be officially licensed versions of the physical games. Clones and knock-offs need not apply.

No public domain games. I'd like the list to be comprehensive, but there is no way I could cover every chess or mahjong app out there.

I must know about the game

If I missed one - leave a comment, or drop me a GeekMail.

Some notes on the list

iPhone and iPod Touch will be used interchangeably

IAP = In-App Purchase

I'll use U.S. Dollars, and the U.S. date format throughout. Apologies to international geeks. I do promise not to use the imperial measurement system. Ever.

Dunno. I remember reading something about the planned update on their website but I don't think they'd charge extra. MP would probably get it into the top 100 again (where it belongs) and I think that's what they're aiming for.

I just bought this for my iPad and have 2 questions I was hoping someone could answer for me.

Is there a way to change your default color? Confusing playing as blue when blue is my normal nemesis!

Also, what exactly does LOCAL JOIN mean? Does this refer to a multiplayer local game where each player has his/her own iPad, or what?

I think it was 1.3.0 that was broken, according to the developers themselves. Thanks for the update.

Agreed. I was super impressed after doing the tutorial, but haven't had a multiplayer game yet. I'll keep this one stashed away pending an(other) update.
