It does? Simply painting the tiddly-winks gold doesn't begin to cut it for me, the color is the least of my concerns. The provided chips are not at all up to the standards set by the rest of the Caylus components IMO, and their color is the far down the list of reasons why I feel this is the case. I will continue to look for an alternative, and this detail will not deter me one bit from playing this incredible game!
Excellent news! Thanks for your continued dedication to this product! It would be very easy for you to just put the game out there and call it done, especially since all the positive buzz the game is getting will virtually guarantee its success even without additional effort on your part. It is refreshing to see a company that stands behind their product in this way.
My 'money' is on the free upgrade being a DIY token set to be printed and stuck to card by the punter. Otherwise postage for all games sold to date would be crippling.
Regardless I'm sticking with my pre-decimal proper coins.
OK, so I have some replacement coins as well. I use the same coins for Caylus and Puerto Rico:
My substitute coins for Caylus and Puerto Rico: Eastern Caribbean cents for 1, and 2004 US Nickels for 5 (available Gold plated by the US Mint) with original coins for comparison.
