This is a new item for the game. On this board (other side you will find a board for 3 players) you have to put the Sun Event cards when played.

In turn order, each player chooses one of his Sun Event cards and places them face down in the quadrant of his choice on the Sun Event board. The player then immediately draws a replacement from the Sun Event deck and takes it in his hand.

Note: During one Sun Phase only one new card can be placed in each quadrant. This card is added to possible cards from a previous Sun Phase.

Unfortunate. I really liked the action of playing the cards between theca players, as it ensured that the cards that applied to you were always close at hand. Boo for icons also.

I don't mind the board and icons, they sound like a good idea (however, I never played the original game) but have these colours been tested for colour-blind players?

Icons are sterile and I'm not thrilled that the cards have been stripped of flavour text and moved away from t he players who need to care about t them.

Having played the original like some of you who have posted have, I would say that it seems like it would be incredibly easy to leave the "Sun Board" in the box and play the card on the table exactly like you use to do so they are 'close at hand.' Wouldn't it? I've been known to leave stuff out of games before when it seemed pointless. (The Legionary "board" in Glory to Rome for example.)
