I really hope that these are not the final colours. I'm colourblind - three out of the five colours are effectively identical. My partner tells me they are orange, green and brown. That's useless for about 8% of the male population. Just great.

This isn't a crayon game? Makes me wonder how those wilderness trails are going to work...

This is how it looks to me:

I can't see any difference; this image is produced by a program that simulates colourblindness for web designers.

that is quite unfortunate that it does not work for a colorblind person. the colors make a lovely palette to the non-colorblind eye, and overall the design is classy. good game design really should anticipate colorblindness.

we have a colorblind person in our group, and we generally find small modifications that make games playable. i.e. in New England Railways, we replace purple cubes with white ones.

in this case perhaps replacing the mid-toned yellow-brown bits (with white maybe) would solve the issue. you'd be left with a lighter set and a darker set of yellow-brown bits.

Unfortunate about the color blindness (we have a friend who plays with us and we can't do games like Ticket to Ride with him). However, as these look like pretty standard "road" pieces from games like Settlers or the like, I bet you could find some that would be the right color to replace them (like Peter suggested). Mayday games often has Meeples and wooden parts, as does some of the internet retailers.

Can't the roads be solved easy putting small lines on then? Let's say "orange" are lines band, "brown" are two lines, "geen" are three lines.
