"Death in the Dreiental
The dog tears at its leash while pulling you over the top of the next hill. The traces you are following have long disappeared, but the animal is still following the scent and leading you deeper and deeper into the scant mountinous landscape.
Upon finally reaching a canyon from which the wind howls ceaselessly, the dog's panting turns into a fearful yelp as an unnatural cold grips your hearts...

The heroes stand before the portal of the old necropolis Morrdakar, the midday sun gleaming on the notched blades of the undead skeletons awaiting you motionless at the entrance.
In the catacombs beyond lurk the necromancer Azan Al'Azzrak, master of the dark arts, the shrewd warriors of a hobgoblin tribe, and the wild henchmen of an ork tribe. Diplomacy, resourcefulness and mastery of the blade are necessary to survive the dangers of this dungeon and to prevent the resurrection of the mighty dragon Duesterzahn.

"Die Katakomben des Nekromanten" ("The Catacombs of the Necromancer") is an Dungeonslayers adventure for 5th- to 8th-level characters taking place in the Dreiental of the Free Lands. It can be used in connection with "Die Minen von Crimlak" ("The Mines of Crimlak") or standalone.
