I will be in Edinburgh briefly on business in a few weeks (staying near the Princess Mall (near Princess St and Market St). Are there any game stores close to this area?

Am specifically looking for some WWI aircraft miniatures - but always love browsing.

Thanks

For minatures it might be worth checking out Haburn Hobbies ( www.haburnhobbies.co.uk) on Elm Row/Leith Walk which is about 10 minutes walk from where you'll be staying. Or maybe Wonderland Models ( www.wonderlandmodels.com) on Lothian Road at the west end of Princes Street. Not sure how great they'll be for what you're after, but perhaps worth a browse.

And if you get desperate for a gaming fix, let me know, I live that end of Princes Street too - the girlfriend's fed up with beating me all the time and could do with a proper challenge.

I too am in town on business in Edinburgh for a few more weeks. I was just at Black Lion yesterday. It's a small shop but is very densely packed and had a good selection. I was there for the board games but they had minis (seemed more fantasy-related, not what you're looking for) and a good rpg selection as well.

There's an "Edinburgh League of Gamers" that is meeting this Wednesday just down the road (very near Haburn Hobbies) that I'm going to try to attend. I'm working near the Omni/John Lewis and am staying about a mile and a half west of there.

Anybody up for any gaming, send me a PM.

Thanks everyone. I will certainly check out Black Lion.

(course my other quest - Richard Bolitho Books by Alexander Kent - I have started reading this series again, and I have discovered that the North American imprint has changed to a larger size - so if I want to fill in the holes, I have to find them in used book stores

But it looks like the UK still has them in the mass market paperback sizes - so I am hoping to search out a few bookstores as well :-)

Again, thanks everyone
