Tony Bennett at the old Desert Inn in Las Vegas, last of the old time showrooms. Sat in a velvet booth near the front. What a great performer.
Pink Floyd, The Wall, Nassau Coliseum - Long Island, 10th row floor. wow. just...wow. But more show than concert. Still would have liked to see them play w/fewer theatrics.
Blotto, anytime, anywhere. Always a good time. I miss Cheese.
Worst: Squeeze, Madison Square Garden, last freakin' row. Couldn't see squat. Wasn't worth the effort to go into the city.

You are ALL sadly deluded and WRONG as "hell" on the matter! I got to watch "the WHO" headline an all day 'Music Fest' in September 1979 at the "Zeppelinfeld" in Germany. It began at 8am and was still going on well after 11pm, with so many groups that I can't accurately recall them ALL, but here's a few of what we had performing that long, hot, desultry sunny day! The Steve Gibbons Band, Miriam Makeba-(sp?), AC/DC, the Scorpions, Cheap Trick, with perhaps the few others that I don't recall, while "the WHO" started their repertoire just after 8pm! This included "smoke projectors" of which wafted overhead with colorful "LASERS" shooting through that, and it did give off a "Star Wars" effect for that as well then! I've even got pictures of this that I took while I spent my time laying back and kicking back during this spectacular event!
EDIT:UPDATE! thanks to a fellow "Geek" here-(Uninvited) then here's what that 'event' consisted of oh those many decades ago: the WHO headliner Concert 1979 and a few I missed were "Molly Hatchet"; "Nils Lofgren"; "Zanki & Band" and this rounds it out now!

BAH! That's all pathetic... You should have seen Prljavo Kazaliste concert in Zagreb 1991 when the war started... Hundrets of thousands of people out in the Ban Jelacic Square all chanting as one... And it was free... Ahhhh, the good old days...
Billy Joel, An Innocent Man Tour - Oakland Arena 1980 something.
Front Row. Center stage. Mark Riveria (sp) the Sax player, takes my sunglasses off my head (Don't ask why I had them there), wears them for 3 songs and gives them back. Liberty De Vito tosses me a drum stick. Billy Joel sings some Christmas songs. Christie Brinkley under the stage wavin to us. Played for 2 Hours and another hour worth of encores. Billy Joel IS the definition of an Entertainer.
Nylon Curtain Tour (1982) Oakland Arena
Another fantastic concert, but the show stopper was the Vietnam Tribute "Goodnight Saigon" which began with crickets, jungle sounds and then the sounds of Huey Choppers flying overhead and rattling your teeth from the speakers. The song has always been a favorite of mine and hearing it live sent chills down your spine.
David Bowie, Shoreline Ampitheater (again 1980 something).
I had season tickets when Shoreline was selling different packages. Mine were dead center about 12 rows up from the stage. David Bowie was part of the Rock/Pop package and the one show I had no interest in, never was a big fan. My girlfriend at the time (now my wife) didnt want to go so I took her roomate who was a HUGE Bowie fan. She indoctrinated me on the way to the show with all her Bowie tapes. He was amazing. Made me fan right then and there. He had this HUUUUUGE video screen (20+ feet tall) at a weird angle on the stage that he sang in front of for some songs. He was on tape on the screen and he performed these hypnotic duets with himself. Bizarre but really cool.
Electric Light Orchestra, Out of the Blue Tour, Oakland Arena (1970 something).
My first ever concert. I was pre-driving age and my friend Clyde and I took Bart to the Arena. This was the show with the gigantic clam shell spaceship (like the Out of the Blue Album Cover) that opened up and the band came up on a raising stage in the center. Blew me away. I had never seen anything like it and ELO was already a favorite of mine so this was just incredible.
It's about 2 hours before the concert and my friend Clyde (a MAJOR Concert-goer by this time) calls up and says he has an extra ticket to see Elton John at Shoreline - seats are close but way off to the side. I say sure. We get there with about 10 minutes to spare and take our seats. We are in the front row but alllll the way to the left side of the stage. Bummer! Thats a long way to center stage. Elton John starts playing... the lights dim... the curtain rises and he is sitting at his piano 5 feet from me - directly in front of us! He played 80% of the music from there. The guy is a true showman. Awesome Concert!
Styx(Reunion Tour?) - Great American Ampitheater, General Admission. (1980 something - I have no idea of the dates, that why I have my wife)
We get there early and grab front row seats (Clyde and I again). Styx is part of his "unholy trinity" that he vowed he would never see in concert (Journey and REO Speedwagon being the other two). He had already capitulated and seen those two at this point so he asked me to join him in hell and see the (River) Styx.
Dennis De Young can fricken SING. He reminds me alot of Freddie Mercury with his range. The show was awesome, it was like a live Greatest Hits album and he was hilarious when he talked to the audience. Clyde ended up buying all their albums and I still give him shit about it.
Crowded House...The Pretenders...The Police...
I haven't been to a concert in 10 years I think.
