Hi, I finally got around to adding all the wii codes from the Wii owners guild. I've sent them all a geekmail to the same (sorry for the spammy nature of that).
For anyone else my code is 3025 3732 6556 3552. I'm hoping to pick up Super Mario Strikers Charged soon, and Fifa 2008 when it drops.
In the meantime please geekmail me to let me know if you've added me so I can add you to the list, and let me know when the cast for The Princess Bride show up on your Wii as well as The Dude and Walter from The Big Lebowski.

I am bumping this in hopes to bring more awareness and to start the cycle of getting it updated...
I have seen evidence that one person has decided not to keep their Wii, how sad!  But to each their own... I would like to bring this list VERY up to date so in the next day or so, I will be GeekMailing everyone on it. If I do not get a reply back in a day, I will be deleting your name off the first post. If one chooses to contact me before I get the messages out, I don't mind the help!
If you want your name added, please post here or GM me.
Remember everyone, it takes lots of TIME and EFFORT to add people to your Wii Friends list. It does not do any good if someone else doesn't add you also. Thank you...

But I still don't know what really cool things we can do with each others' codes. Send Wii mail? Send a Mii? What games can we play?
...as opposed to XBOX Live, where the rhyme and reason of an online community is pretty clear cut.

No, there's nobody who can. That's the really sad part about the Wii. Everybody posts their codes, everybody sends everybody else Miis and stuff from Elebits or Metroid 3, and then nobody ever gets together for any gaming, because there's no useful Live!-like interface that shows you who is currently out there playing what. You have to make arrangements outside of the "channel" process, which is inane. There should absolutely, positively be a Wii "Friends Channel" that provides that community feeling that the 360 supports. The Wii doesn't have VOIP or any tricky comm stuff, and so it's just not really well-suited (at present) for networked gaming.
That's my opinion, and I'm sticking with it until somebody proves me wrong with a stronger argument than "you suck!"

Yes, while X-Box Live may have an easier way of contacting one another to game, remember that it is also a pay feature.
Ok, I have updated the list as best possible as of this post. There are a couple who haven't signed in for a month or two but hopefully I will hear from them soon.
There are a handful or two that have not logged in for a long while (one not since 2006!) so I have removed them.
I have bolded about 4 names that have their Wii code in their profiles.

Hi Terri! Hope we're able to get together at least once in 2008 for some gaming. It's been far too long.
Now, in regards to your comment -- yea, XBOX Live *is* a pay feature. But in exchange for a very reasonable annual fee you are given pure awesomeness. I'd rather pay for awesome than get suckage for free.

Well SG, before anybody can make anything interesting happen on your Wii, you'll have to go through the list at the top of the thread and enter as many friend codes as you can before falling asleep.

I didn't add anyone that didn't respond to the older thread. Yes, you make a GREAT point that I should have mentioned. There are active Wii owners that post to the Video Game Guild too!
Yes, I still have a few grayed names too which is one reason why I am working on updating this list!

This brings up a GREAT point... I heard this a couple times in responses... And its part of the reason I am trying to get this thing updated... But it still would be a good thing to contact those you have added to have them add you. Any name up on the list who is in bold, has contacted me and is still active.
I will admit that I haven't added everyone from this list. I have added those who contacted me or I sent them a message saying I am adding them and I *still* have grayed out names

I'm still around too. I haven't turned my wii on in a while and I still only have sports and tiger woods golf so there's not really any online gaming to be had at the moment.
