Hi. I am the writer, producer, and director of Playing The Game, a smart, sexy new web TV series about young adults and the games they play.
For Season 1, we made 15 bite-sized episodes (about 5 minutes each). You can watch Episodes 1 and 2 now, and a new episode every Monday.
For the best picture, go to Vimeo: http://www.vimeo.com/channel4647
Or, if picture quality is the sort of chrome you can do without, try YouTube: http://ca.youtube.com/GreekChorusProds
For a sneak preview of what's coming up in future episodes, check out the official Season 1 geek list: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/28392
When was the last time a TV show or movie portrayed gamers as we actually are? (OK, a bit better looking than we actually are, but you get the point.)

If he's telling a terrible story,
He shall die by a death that is gory, One of the cruelest slaughters That ever were known in these waters; And we'll finish his moral affliction By a very complete malediction, As a compliment valedictory If he's telling a terrible story.
Seriously, though, that was truly bizarre but kind of funny. The Wards in Chancery card made me laugh, for some reason. Are G&S big in Canada among gamers? Or is that the joke?

I just thought it would be funny to make some completely misguided games. The source material for the game in Episode 3 is even less suitable!

Nicely produced! The golden-age film buff in me would like a few more close shots to break up the long takes, but that's just me.
I like the guy with glasses, good dead-pan delivery.

It's not just you. We shot the entire season in 5 days, and all the Two Headed Dragon scenes (half an hour of screen time) on a holiday when the store was closed. I hope we'll have a bit more time for close ups in season 2.
Your Archaeology game looks cool. At first, I was going to have them play real games (note to designers: feel free to send me free games in the mail), but it's generally funnier to have them play fake games and complain about how bad they are.

Fair warning -- the beginning of episode 2 will likely be considered NSFW if someone were to see it over your shoulder (but becomes a safe PG in short order).

If by "short order" you mean "about halfway through the episode..."
Not that they are very long...

We've all been there: the game that never ends. (The episode, however, ends after 4 minutes 41 seconds.)
No camels were harmed in the making of this episode.

Those parents remind me of Kelly's parents in the Kelly shoes video.
A spoof of the shoes video would be funny...(I'm gonna get some games! These games rules, these games suck. These games cost $300!! I think you got to many games. etc etc)
Sorry if that's off topic.

Another "game" episode, in which we learn two valuable lessons: never invite your mother to a gaming session, and "sell your body for drug money" isn't as good a move as it sounds.
