I posted a Press Release for my new (and first (of any kind)) iPhone game- BloXoR, but thought I'd start a thread over here to see if anyone has tried it and if so what they thought.
If no has bought it, then please, feel free to go buy it (it's only $2.99!), try it out, and then come back and post...I'll wait.

Listen, this is no set of rules. I'm not tellin' you what to do, all I'm saying is I'm bringin' up three things that are, like, so important to the whole world, I don't happen to find much importance in.
-
OK, I bit. It better not be wack, yo. I can't countenance nothin' wack.
-
-
uh...huh?
No, it's not 'wack.' I can't promise you'll like it, but it is a real, complete, playable, dare I say fun, game.
Let me know what you think, yo.

So, I got to level 10 before my train pulled up to drop me off in the HTML mines, and I've gotta say...
It's not wack!
It's really pretty damn clever, and uses the motion sensor well, if a little on the sensitive side when totaling tilts. I like the bombs and one-way portals, and look forward to seeing what lies ahead. None of the levels have been very challenging, thus far, but that's OK 'cos the game play elements are still being introduced. I hope to be thoroughly befuddled before too long!

Hey, great! I'm glad you liked it. Yes it does get harder. And, after level 14 or so, multiple levels open at a time up to 5, so you can bounce around a little more.
I did make the tilt pretty sensative, but some of the later levels need precision down to almost the pixel. It's pretty cool, though-- if you need to nudge a Blox over a pixel or two, tapping the side of the iPhone actually works!

I am definitely going to buy it here soon. I've been playing a lot of the MotionX Poker Dice(cool impl by the way) and Aurora Feint(Reward game). But this one does look pretty cool. Stay tuned.

Not to derail my own thread (
), but I tried that Aurora Feint, the free trial, cuz it's just the kind of game I'd like, but on the very first level two major problems hit me--1) It was WAY TOO SLOW! I cleared all the possible blocks in seconds, and then just sat there. I saw no way to raise more blocks, which games like that always have. So, I thought, no big deal, I'll just go to a harder level, and there was problem 2) I couldn't leave the level!! Even shutting down and starting back up, resumed the level where I left off (for my conveniece, I'm sure.) So I've never gone back to it. Maybe you can tell me if I missed something or they've fixed these problems since I tried it.
--but then back to BloXoR talk! JEEZ People! Let's stay OT please!!

I'll probably get iteither way. But does it stop the iPod playing when I start your game. All the games seem to do that. I would play that motionx thing so much more if it let me listen to podcasts while playing it.

I'm glad you asked that!
I specifically programmed it so that if you mute the sound (and then start it again), your music keeps on playing. Sound-mute is a saved setting, so you only have to do it once.

Sold! I just played the first three levels. It's quite clever, but yeah they are easy. I'm sure that won't last long.
Thanks!

Oh, and sorry I won't ever get to hear whatever cool music or sounds your game has
-
-
Actually, background music was the first thing to go once I found out you could listen to tunes while playing. Cuz, that's how I'd play it.
Oh, and thanks for the purchase!
It does get harder, but I'll be interested to hear people's responses to some of the "harder" levels. I've beaten every level myself in the production version, but of course, I knew how to beat each one cuz, you know, I made them. But even then, I had some trouble with some of the last ones.

Hey, I got a real review of BloXoR from Pocket Gamer!
They gave it an 8/10 with a Silver Award!
"Approachable, addictive, cheap and with no small dose of quality, BloXoR is the ideal advert for the kind of instant experiences the iPhone can deliver."
Pretty cool, huh?
Check it out, here.

I'm so close to being finished, but Gosh Darnit. Donut with Sprinkles and Braided Insaned are freaking impossible!!!
Alright, they probably aren't impossible, But I've tried each of them at least 20 times.
So far. I've completed 70 levels in 198 tries for a score of 190687.
My total time is 11:25:05

That's awesome Chris! Yes, those last two are pretty darn hard. I actually couldn't beat Sprinkles myself after creating it and had to go back and make it slightly less hard

Braided Insaned was always my pick for the "last level" It is very hard, but I know the trick so it only took me a couple dozen tries. A tip: be sure to use that bottom lane.
Be sure to send me an email if you beat it. I haven't heard from anyone yet that has. I'll post your name up at the site.
