So, you were delving inside VG Gand you discovered a case of duplicated save data, old memory cards, evil twins and clones of the death. And knowing that those bad deeds should be punished, you decide to take the matter in your hands and fight the good fight. This shall be your arena.
If you find two duplicate entries on the database, let's say, the same company was sent twice, reply on this thread with the following data.
Full link to first entry Full link to second entry If it is an typo on one, indicate which is wrong. If you are not sure which name is the correct one, put a reminder to the admin to add it as an alternate name.
Discussions about merging or spliting videogames should be held at The Divorce Thread: Should we split or should we join?

Two ESP publishers:
http://videogame.geekdo.com/videogamepublisher/11923/esp http://videogame.geekdo.com/videogamepublisher/12492/esp
First one has the most games associated with it already.

Star Fox series is duplicated:
http://videogame.geekdo.com/videogameseries/4923/star-fox http://videogame.geekdo.com/videogameseries/6277/star-fox
This one is difficult because the logo looks like it should be "Starfox" but all the text refers to it as "Star Fox". I fixed up all the names under "Star Fox" but left alternate names "Starfox" for purposes of searching.

Battalion Wars 2 and Battalion Wars 2 should be merged. The correct spelling is with one "l", by the way.

There are two entries for the Atari Lynx platform.
http://videogame.geekdo.com/videogameplatform/4743/atari-lyn...
http://videogame.geekdo.com/videogameplatform/4429/lynx
Note that the second is listed just as Lynx, not Atari-Lynx. And, since Jaguar is just listed as Jaguar, not Atari-Jaguar, I think it best to go with just Lynx (but merge in the info from Atari-Lynx)
BTW, there were two versions of the Atari Lynx and I have one of each type which I can take pictures of.

I think they should remain as separate entries, the same way Square, Enix and Square-Enix are all separate.

I didn't know we'd kept Square, Enix & Square-Enix separate Ok.

Yeah, and we "connect" them by the linking on the descriptions. We decided to keep them separate so we can put the company which produced the game on the time. Check the data guide, we have some stuff for it.

Until yesterday, Strategic Studies Group (SSG) mistakenly had 2 listings.
I used the "Web Links" option to inform admins to delete the one I was mailing them from (the multiple). (I wasn't aware of this thread.) I don't know what was done, but now only SSG's publishing credits are listed on their remaining page, not their developer credits.
For example, the game Korsun Pocket correctly lists Strategic Studies Group as the developer, yet the game does not show up on the company listing. There are several other games like this.

It shows mate. On the linked Items template you will see 3 links, Developer, Publisher and Hwr Manufacturer. The default is the Publisher, if you link on Developer they show there.

Is there a way to make the developer link stick as the default?
Edit: Or better yet, add an "All" link that shows everything that a company's been associated with?
