Just started playing Advanced Wars on my GBA again and though how neat these tiny little tanks are.

Therefore here is the idea of an Advanced Wars fan microbadge

Now here are some questions that arise with this badge:
- Should I also add a tank facing left, so one can have tanks on both sides shooting at each other?
- Should I add other colored versions of the tanks (blue, green, yellow)?
- Should I add other wargear (artillery, jeeps, jets, bomber)?

I made a handful of Killzone microbadges:

Game logo:
version 1
version 2

ISA Faction:
without "ISA"
with "ISA"

Helghast Faction:
Helghast Logo
Helghast Trooper

I'm new to the whole microbadge-creation thing, so any feedback would be much appreciated!

EDIT: Smoothed out some of the edges and increased the color contrast.

Not bad... Not bad at all.

The ISA logo seems a bit cut off at the top and there's some moice between the two parts that should be removed.

Thanks for the suggestions Garion! Here are new versions:

- I had to shrink the icon so that it would fit in the 16x16 space without bumping against the edges.

- Here I reduced the sphere even more so that the text would be a bit more distinguishable than in the previous version. The text is also a lot darker but hopefully still readable.

Comments?

I missed that one somehow. Here is something scary: I think my source image for my backup design is the same source image as was used for mb. laugh I guess I'll dump that one.

So for
, I'm not sure what to do. Make the heart bigger? Use a different color for the heart? Switch to a white base? Add a background? Scrap it and start over? Let it be and accept the pain of the similarity?

I don't think so.
I think your source was this one:

...which is THE Commodore 64 joystick and happens to be the one I used for years.

While this:

...seems to be used for the other MB, and as such, that's a MB you won't see on me, even dead! (Wannabejoystick)

PS: I like your design.

As the game Minecraft is currently getting alot of attention in these boards, here is the generic dirt block that stands for the game:

Just need some silly mouseover text, maybe "My craft is Minecraft"?

Edit: Nevermind, just noticed that some designs were already posted over at the Geeklist.

I'm in need of a Fable series fan badge, or badges for the individual games. I'd buy whatever is made if it looks good.

Fable
Fable II
Fable III

Would anyone be willing to attempt a Toejam and Earl video game microbadge? I was thinking maybe one for each of the characters? This was my absolute favorite game for the Sega Genesis and would really like a micro badge for it. I attempted to make one of my own but it just got really blurry (I just scaled an existing image to 16X16). I'm a computer programmer and not a graphic designer so my knowledge in this area is pretty limited.

Many thanks to anyone who shares my passion for Toejam and Earl and is able to make a micro badge. Cheers!

Hey, look, my first post on VGG!

In the Microbadge of the Month thread, I noticed a typo in a caption:

mb Turtle's should be Turtles' - it's plural.

Same for mb.

5 classes, shades of grey (can be made green but I don't know what shade of green it's supposed to be):

or with tweaked engineer and covert ops badge:

(not transparent yet)

Have a good trip! Where are you going?

But now that I realise, in the base game it wasn't green it was red, on the server I play it's green. So actually, whatever color will do

Can I add another to the pile of requests? We have a couple iPhone user microbadges, but how about an iPhone gamer (with an iPhone 4 sillhouette)? I don't know what game should be on the screen... something classic, like Space Invaders? Something currently popular, like Angry Birds? I'd appreciate it!

Went for a chainsaw carving workshop in the Netherlands

I didn't go for a green green or red red touch but for the greenish grey in the picture you posted... Would that do?

I've been out of the loop for a while and wanna submit a new MB:

The 'Rome Total War fan' MB:

Based upon the symbol for the Julii, one of the 3 Roman (playable) factions in the game and easily recognizable for RTW players, as this is also used as favicon on one of the major RTW forums.

The large in-game image:

Now, what were the VGG steps for submission?
Any comments on the MB?

The second series looks good indeed.

For the mouseovers I would suggest:

ET: I'm a soldier
ET: I'm a medic
ET: I'm a engineer
ET: I'm a field ops
ET: I'm a covert ops

And can you make one for the logo to?
