I've had several instances where I was told I had new items in my subscriptions, but none were listed on the New Items Page.
Clicking on Next New Item revealed the items, one at a time.
The last time this happened, just a few minutes ago, new pics had been uploaded to one of my VGG subscribed games, which I was able to view, one at a time, by clicking on Next New Item.
Hope I made that clear enough.

That's happened to me before, too. I think most recently it was a geeklist item that was edited.
