Does anyone still have one of these? It practically laid out the whole game and all its secrets for all to see. And for some strange reason, after reading it I just loved the game that much more.

I think I still have this in my attic. I don't think I've ever seen a better video game guide (not that I've actually seen very many, I guess).

One of the best things about this one was the hand-drawn maps. They had a charm that screenshot maps could never match--especially sloppy ones that showed the protagonist in each shot.

Thanks for posting that! It's been a long time since I've seen it, and it definitely brought back some memories!

It was part of the normal subscription, maybe you renewed right at that point and they sent you two by mistake?

Looking at these stars suddenly dwarfed my own troubles and all the gravities of terrestrial life. I thought of their unfathomable distance, and the slow inevitable drift of their movements out of the unknown past into the unknown future. H.G. Wells
