Looking at these stars suddenly dwarfed my own troubles and all the gravities of terrestrial life. I thought of their unfathomable distance, and the slow inevitable drift of their movements out of the unknown past into the unknown future. H.G. Wells

I have now twice tried to add these games to my vgg collection, and they show up in my board game geek collection.

Fantasia
Age of Empire II
Flashback
Galactic Attack
The Horde
Myst
Batman the video game

It seems I can add them to my VGG collection, if I do so through the games page (at least with The Horde.
This issue may be related to my earlier post concerning Shadowrun.

It sounds to me like you might be coming in with an old bookmarked link. If you have this problem, when you view your boardgame collection make sure the term

&subtype=boardgame

shows up in the url (if you're coming in from a bookmark just tack it on the end). That should fix it.

While you're browsing a domain this should be happening automatically and I think is handled by site cookies.

I ran into a similar problem when I was trying to add video games to my collection through my collection page. For example, I kept trying to add The Legend of Zelda (a game I knew must be in the database,) but I never saw it in my VGG collection. That is when I noticed it in my BGG collection. I deleted and tried again...with the same result. I finally clicked on the link and realized what had happened. And I think this is your issue as well.

I intended to add The Legend of Zelda to my VGG collection, but the system (since it scans through ALL games with that name regardless of BGG, RPGG, or VGG) kept adding The Legend of Zelda. Basically, I kept clicking on a board game that has the same name.

I checked all your titles, and I bet that is what is happening with you too. Each of those titles you listed has a board game counterpart, thus the system lists them both for you to select.

VG Fantasia vs BG Fantasia
VG Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings vs BG Age of Empires II
VG Flashback vs BG Flashback
VG RayForce vs BG Galactic Attack
VG The Horde vs BG The Horde
VG Myst vs BG Myst
VG Batman: The Video Game vs BG The Batman Game

I think the best thing for you to do is to continue to add them from the game page itself, or check the dates that come after the title in the dropdown menu. Just select the one that has the year you think is correct.

Hope that helps.
