As you may now VGG has put up some goals to achieve by the end of this year. Each 3 months Nikc gives us an update of how far we are with these goals. Some are already made, others are close and others are way out of reach. But as you know VGG (just like BGG and RPGG) is a user site, so we need you're help to reach these goals.
From this project R.E.S.P.E.C.T. has seen the light. At first as a part of the Arcade but this goes beyond the Arcade, that's why I'm posting it here. In project R.E.S.P.E.C.T. we call out to the users to help us reach the goals.
To help with the communication we started up a guild for it. And under the dictator of the week several leaders stepped in volunteering to help with one of the goals.
What do we ask from you? Well stepping forward as a leader to obtain one of the goals would be very nice. But if you're not up to that you can just join the guild and help us gaining or goals. First off all you will gain a shiny microbadge ( ) and from time to time calls to you're aids will be made. There will geekgold to be earned with them so it's a win - win for all of us.
Come join us and help us!

Yes, but this isn't an arcade post, so no pics of cookies, tacos or any other foodgroup.

Thanks for taking the ball and running with it, Barad! I'm glad to see my initiatives as current Arcade Dictator of the Week are taking off!

For those who want to follow this week's saga of the revivification of Project R.E.S.P.E.C.T., see these threads: Mymil’s Magnificently Magnanimous Monday Mandate (#1): Immortality Mymil's Terrifically Terrible Tuesday, uh... Thing #2: Project R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Revivified Mymil’s Theriously Thoughtful Thursday Edict #4: Project R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Czars
So does this make you Project R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Public Relations Czar, Barad?
Oh, and if you want to create Geek domain agnostic links, you can use the [ geekurl=][ /geekurl] tags. Although threads and guilds both have their own specific tags: [ thread=][ /thread] and [ guild=][ /guild].
Join Project R.E.S.P.E.C.T.!

As much as I already have the badge and want to build VGG into a major game archive, I don't know about this "The screenshot gallery should have at most 7 screenshots" - this is just NOT how game sites work as far as I can tell. Maybe some of you are closer to the staff of the site and can give us some clue.

Alright, I'll jump in here as well. I'm just starting out on VGG, but Video games have been just as big a part of my life as RPGs. so, let the fun begin.

I think that 7 screenshots is far too little to cover a good game properly, and I often try to let the pictures describe the game - when possible. I am very happy that some Admins accept multiple images, when you upload a consistent series to a game
Oups... this is the "Join-thread"

Maybe some of you are closer to the staff of the site and can give us some clue. This is changing. We have had several heated discussions about the screenshot limit.
For now, feel free to submit up to ten screenshots to a game gallery, as long as each screenshot displays a significantly different aspect of the game.

Are instruction manuals, or inside cover illustrations alright now, or still verboten? Am I supposed to get the RESPECT badge for signing up? I thought I read about that somewhere.

Instruction manuals can be included, but only as part of a media bundle containing the rest of the box's contents.
You'll get your badge once you report that you've done whatever activity is associated with one of the current initiatives. I've been away from VGG this weekend, and therefore far behind on my subscriptions, if you've actually already done that!

Once I'm done answering these pesky questions, I'll get right on submitting some more games.
BTW, does hardware in general take a lot longer to approve?

Yes, they do, but only because it is looked at less frequently than game queues (getting games into the database is the current priority), and because they are often harder to evaluate.

I've submitted a few games and added games to my collection to help with the silver collectors.
I'll be adding more as time goes on, while adding my collection I had a lot that were not listed. I have to go back and find some of those.
