Just in time for New Year's:
New 100% Single-Segment Speedrun for Super Mario 64 - 1:48:05
The last time I watched a full speedrun of the game they were taking 20 minutes longer and it still blew my mind. Highly recommended viewing - non-stop "no way!" moments.

Wow... The long fall in the snow world, the double run of the footrace, the crazy skips on the slides... I mean, this is just the big stuff, but even the little stuff is outrageous. I'm not sure I'm ALLOWED to watch this... insane.
(I should mention I've only watched the first half, and I gotta look away for now. Yipes!)

I'm not sure I can spend two hours watching this, but that's pretty impressive.
This might be worth watching, it's kind of fun.

Watching this now. Some parts are so risky and so polished that I can't help but be suspicious that the author used a few "tricks." However, the Speed Demos Archive is supposed to be strictly "no cheating" so I'll assume it's legit. Anyway, he does make a couple tiny mistakes here and there.
Just watched the Footrace with Koopa the Quick level, which is damned hilarious.

Impressive. Wouldn't be able to finish one of those... I think my record was 1 star within the whole game...

I watched a quarter of it last night and am settling in for more craziness. I'm actually surprised that I can pick out a half dozen or so mistakes so far, but they're only costing the guy 2-3 seconds at a time.
One thing that I'm sure is new compared to old runs: defeating the castle balcony Big Boo while simultaneously running up the roof. This guy is nuts!

I don't think I'd watched runs for this game before. I didn't think too much of it was impressive taken in isolation (performing all of it with only a few minor errors in one sitting, that's another story). There were a few shortcuts that caused me near physical pain though. I thought one of the more subtle-amazing levels was the one (can't remember the name) with the magic carpets.
Unlike most of the good jumps made in the video, I had no clue some of those are even possible.

This would be my version of digital hell. Not only trying to complete it but having to play ANY Mario game for more than 15 minutes. ::: shudder :::

But it's a cool achievement, either way, regardless of my personal distaste for Nintendo and their games.

Super Mario games are some of my favorite of all time.
Our tastes in gaming could scarcely be more divergent.

Whoops! Sorry Frumpish. I've grown to loathe Nintendo and the games on their systems as the years have passed. They're just not fun, for me (at least).
I'm glad you're having fun with them, though!

I haven't played the Galaxy ones or the Sunshine game either.
No worries on liking different games.
