Seeing as it appears to be a direct rip of the World of Warcraft TCG, even using some of the same game terms, I'm wondering what happens when Cryptozoic comes across this game?

Shadow Era has been out for almost a year now, not including beta. Prior to the release, we did our homework to ensure we are not violating any copyrights.

While there are similarities between Shadow Era and the World of Warcraft TCG and Magic: The Gathering TCG, there are many differences as well. Most of the changes were design decisions we felt would make our TCG better.

The launch of the physical cards has been going very well and with under 200 cards at the moment, soon to be 200, the game is still young with lots of room for us to innovate and evolve the game.

Copyright only applies to the text of the rulebook. It's legally fine to duplicate the rules of another game using a different wording. That's why if you go to a department store game aisle you can see lots of unlicensed versions of Guess Who, Battleship, etc.
