Can a space be occupied by more than one dinosaur?

Can a new dinosaur be placed in and opponents space and immediately fight?
If so what happens if they lose the fight?

1) Only one dinosaur per space, unless they are going to fight.

2) A new dinosaur must be placed on an unoccupied space. So no, you can't immediately make it fight as it is placed down.

No, and No, unless you have the "killer babies" mutation.

Incorrect. When you own a dinosaur on a space adjacent to an opponent's dinosaur, then you can declare a fight during "movement phase" by spending 1 movement point (instead of using it for movement).
Your dinosaur will stay put in its region until combat is resolved.
If attack is successful, the defender's dinosaur is removed from board and the attacker's dinosaur moves in the region for no additional movement point (since you already spent it during combat declaration).
If attack fails, then both dinosaur stay put in their respective region.
