User summary.
This is Stranded Survival Simulation game, so there is really no point in writing a walkthrough in classic meaning of the term. There are however couple general advice that can help beating the game.
Game has two main modes - Adventure (5-mission campagin) and Random Island. I'll refer to both:
Adventure Mode
I Mission
1. If you haven't played Stranded (the first part of the game) do it. Not because it's a good game - because it will give you "the feel" of the game, as Stranded II is much more difficoult.
2. When I started adventure mode I thought that the objective was the same as in first part of the game (it isn't) that is getting away on the sail-raft. That is why I spent long time on the first island to develop skills to build a sail-raft. (What you can build depends on what you have already built, new building re unlocked, additionally some skills may unlock new buildings). You will not be needing a sail-raft but still you have to spend the time on the first island because you will need skills (press 'X' key to review your character stats.
3. You start a little confused (blurry screen), get to the shore, don't drink sea water.
4. There are crates on the shore from your destroyed ship, hit them to get what is inside. Collect the logs floating on the water. You might need them later.
5. You can eat cookies, and drink juice ('C; key for inventory, choose item, 'R' key to consume), but don't eat grapes. You will plant those later.
6. You will need place for the settlement. Great if it would be near to the source of fresh water, trees and stone - also vast free area so you would have place to develop your settlement and plant grain. Personally I found my good spot going right along the shore from the starting position, but it's not perfect due to the close lions.
7. Hit a tree for branches, hit a rock for stone and pebbles, you can find grain by hitting yellow plant. (not all kinds of trees gives you the same resources - some for obvious reasons palms gives only leaves and a log)
8. 'C' key for inventory screen, select branch and stone 'S' key to combine - you can make hammer now. With hammer you can build and hit things more efficiently.
9. Combine branch and vine for slingshot- this is your first basic weapon that uses pebbles.
10. Plant grain or grapes. In inventory screen 'T' key to take those in hand and 'E' key to plant on the ground. Check your planting skill description as later you will be able to plant trees and bushes. (always leave some seeds in the inventory - grasshoppers will eat you plantations everey once in a while)
11. First build shelter. If you don't have cover during sleep you get damage. To build take hammer in hand and press right mouse button.
12. To sleep 'X' and in the lower roght corner of the stats screen you have your "zzz" icon.
13. Watch three bards - green (hunger), blue (thirst) and violet (tiredness).
14. When you have fireplace you can fire it combining bark+branch, or using 2 flintstones.
15. Fried ('E' key in inventory screen while over a fire) food gives you more than raw.
16. Develop your stats, build your settlement, combine different resources for tools and items, note that you can combine resources with tools for different effects.
17. When you will build a hut (or one of the advanced structures) you will find a lockpick. It's for the crate near "turtle island" (smaller island and a bay on the far end of the main island). You will find a map. If you have a spade you can dig treasure. It starts the pirate plot that finishes this island.
18. Before leaving this island make sure you have high stats, some food supplies (10 loafes of bread should do, some water or juice), longbow and lots of arrows. You have to have everything on you, not in storage, when leaving. Longbow=3xbendable-branch(branch 'E' over fresh-water)+3xString('E' on cotton/wool)+machette. Stone arrows=branch+pebbles+feather.
II.
1. Don't build anything. Sleep in the pirate's hut.
2. Don't use your food supplies, you will need those for the next mission, eat meat from pirate's storage.
3. Beware of the three "devil monkeys"
4. After pirate "does his thing" go to the "port". Beware of the three sharks. Use longbow, or slingshot aiming a little bit below the sticking out from water part of the sharks. Kill them all. Do that BEFORE taking the message.
5. After reading the message (beware of your 'air' level) collect fish (about 30), clams and starfish also 'count'.
6. Find the flat stone surounded by little flowers on the hill. Drop required number of seafood (raw). Let the stone work his magic.
7. Throw away everythin that is not food or weapon. Travel light.
III.
1. BEWARE or DIE!
2. Keep close to the mountain tops, you start on the stonehege one, on the other one there is a cave (no need to build shelter in this mission either) with little food and fire. On the third mountain top there is a bow (you have your longbow, keep it, the gold bow is to heavy so leave it, but you will need arrows).
3. Kill raptors, collect sparkling green stones.
4. Don't let the raptors get you - they are much faster then lions, takes more to kill them, and they kill you much faster. The trick is to kill them all and destroy their nests while swimming in the ocean (afraid of water they are!)
5. You don't have to kill all the raptors, just get the 10 green-sparkling stones, and go to the stonehenge, and get the h*** out of here.
6. In this mission throw away things that are not weapon or food. Travel light. Still have your bread from mission I?
IV.
1. Told ya'... Travel light.
2. You get the drill - hammer, bow, arrows, food.
3. You don't have to build a settlement if you don't want to. You can live with the "old hippie" on the one end of the island, but you will have to get some weapons - there is a lion quite close to his tent.
4. Don't get close to the natives yet, or you will die.
5. Do quests for the old hippie.
6. Learn native language.
7. Talk to the native that keeps cruising between the village and the tent. He will give you a quest, after that you can safely visit the village.
8. Do the quests for the chief.
9. Do the micro-quest for the "plum native" in the village. Plums are near the old hippie's tent.
10. You will need those haste potions in the next mission. Also - collect 7 pieces of iron-ore.
V.
1. I know. You already HAVE 7 pieces. But game doesn't know. Just dive for another one. This is where you need haste potion - without it your air will end too soon and you will drown.
RANDOM ISLAND MODE.
advice only for hard mode, easy and normal are trivial.
1. Don't get frustrated too soon. It's random - 70% luck, and 30% skill. If you start in the water and get eaten by the shark or pirhanas... Start again.
2. If you start on the shore there is most likely a lion there. Run.
3. While running collect branch, and vine. Find a tall rock and climb on it quicky. Lion can't get you here. Combine slingshot. Underneath you have ulimited source of ammo (pebbles). Defend.
4. If you are lucky island you started on is divided. You can settle on the small one safely, going to the big one on days.
5. Survived all the predators? Now most likely hunger or thirst will kill you. Possible sources of food: insects (bark+fresh water, or digging), mashroom, meat, fish, grapes or berries (however hard mode means there is not going to be much of those near.
6. Build a shelter or a tent, make a fireplace. Cook your food.
7. Sharks are your friends. No, not literaly. But if you stay safely on the beach and kill them from the slingshot or bow (they will start swimming towards you after first shot) you have a source of food quite safely.
8. After surviving a week it's piece of cake.
