User Summary:
Demons are on the loose in the world of Tamriel! And it's up to you to save it (or ignore it I guess if you'd rather).
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the sequel to Morrowind and, as was also true with the former, Oblivion allows you to do whatever you want and travel wherever you wish and play however you desire. You can be an acrobatic swashbuckling lizard, or a noble demon-slaying knight, or even a evil sorcerer in search of increasingly destructive magic. The sheer number of different ways to play Oblivion are staggering.
As an RPG, you create your character from scratch, picking their race, basic attributes, skills, and specializations, along with even more options. The main quest revolves around saving the land from demons who keep appearing through rift portals and closing their access to our world, which will be easier said than done. How you do it is up to you.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was released for the PC and XBox360 in 2006 and the PS3 in 2007.
