Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn

"Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn" is the award-winning sequel to "Baldur’s Gate" and its expansion "Baldur’s Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast". In it, the protagonist continues to struggle with his or her dark heritage as a Bhaalspawn in the popular D&D world: Forgotten Realms. The events in this story take place mere months after the defeat of Seravok and is written to flow naturally forward with its many reappearing characters and renewed story arcs.

The game utilizes and expounds upon much of the content in the original, featuring more character classes and higher levels while maintaining its play style and party system. The game is built around the 2nd edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons role-playing system.

"Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn" was released in September 26 in the year 2000 by BioWare. It is expanded by "Baldur’s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal," which was published in 2001.
