The Wii Classic Controller offers gamers a more traditional control pad modeled after Nintendo's SNES controller. It includes 2 analog sticks, 4 shoulder buttons (L, ZL, R, ZR), a D -pad, 4 face buttons (a, b, x, y) and "select", "home" & "start".

It attaches to the Wii Remote by the Nunchuk plug to communicate with the console.

The original Wii Classic Controller has been discontinued since the release of the Classic Controller Pro in 2009.

The Classic Controller Pro offers a similar set of functions and buttons. It has been altered to be more ergonomic and conform with more a modern controller design.
