June 5, 2010 - International Day of Fudge


Started by Patrick Benson (http://www.sinisterforces.com/), the Day of Fudge is the first Saturday of June every year. People are encouraged to run open Fudge games at local game stores, to introduce new players to this free RPG.

June 19, 2010 - Free RPG Day

June 22-27, 2010 - Origins Game Fair, Columbus Ohio


One of the oldest game conventions in the US, it has a good strong mix of role-playing and boardgaming. Because it's a GAMA (Game Manufacturer's Association) event, there is a very large vendor presence.

July 24-25, 2010 - FeenCon 2010, Bonn, Germany

July 27, 2010 - Gary Gygax's Birthday


The grandfather of RPGs.Gary was the co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons and remained publicly active on the RPG scene through his passing in March of 2008.

August 1, 2010 - RPG Geek Anniversary!

August 5-8, 2010 - GenCon Indy


The granddaddy of RPG events - GenCon sees almost 30,000 people attend every year and is still the premiere place to get your game on! Gaming not only takes place at the convention but also at nearby hotels and restaurants after hours.

September 3-6, 2010 - DragonCon - Atlanta, Georgia

October 15, 2010 - Golden Geek Awards for RPGs


The first year for the Golden Geek Awards to cover RPGs as well as more traditional boardgames. There will be several categories including best RPG of 2010 and best RPG Publisher.

November 27th, 2010 - Dragonmeet 2010 - Kensington, U.K.


Dragonmeet 2010 will open its doors on Saturday the 27th of November 2010 at 10am. Once again Kensington Town Hall will be hosting London’s foremost roleplaying and collectable card gaming convention. Dragonmeet 2010 website.

December 27, 2010 - Personal Avatar Day


Today is the day to shed your Avatar and don an actual picture of yourself (unless, of course, your avatar is a picture of you!). While not everyone is comfortable doing this (which is fine), this is our day for the community to showcase a less digitized version of themselves and let others feel more personally connected within this amazing community.
