Adminion ToDo Archive 
This is the list of the items that were on the Adminion ToDo list. Some of them are still active projects that I would like to pursue, but with a re-start of the Adminion guild, I'm putting them to the side as projects upon which we should focus.
I don't much need progress reports, but I would ask that you keep the ToDo lists updated on the relevant pages. I check in on the Adminion Guild a couple of times a day, and have a look at the project pages. When I start everyone into some of the bigger projects, I'll instruct how I want updates handled.
Wiki
Awards
- GAMES 100 lists
- Some sub-items to be accomplished, some detailed on the ToDo Page at the entry
- Need to enter award information in all relevant games that links back to the correct awards page
Game Entries
- Linkages of expansions to base-games, and vice-versa. Any game with an "Expansion for Base Game" category should be linked to the base game in the Linked Items section. Corollary to this, any of the old Crosslinks in the links sections should be deleted (below item).
- Linkages of games to relevant wiki indexes
- Eliminate
- dead links (seeking a tool from Aldie to do this efficiently)

- links to commercial sites (especially old links to Funagain.com)
- links to publisher pages
- links to the publisher's base page, as they are now covered by the publisher entries
- links to the publisher's sale pages, which generally don't offer any information other than a short blurb and a link to purchase
- Track down and re-write short, bad, or fluff descriptions. Edit and trim over-long descriptions.
- Apply Game Description Formatting to game entries, especially to move data of one type to More Information, and keep other data in the main description.
- Review categories and mechanisms applied to games. Seek out games that have voids in Category or Mechanics (sic). Submit corrections to fix the voids, and compile lists of games to which a new category could apply.
- Eliminate mistakenly-added Alternate Names (esp. Chinese approximations, or English translations for games never released under such a name). Consistently apply naming conventions, and add alternate names where relevant.
Big Audit Project
Adminions Database Audit -- Not yet underway, but the plan is to perform an audit of all the 36000+ items in the BGG database, checking them over for missing or incorrect information, including
- Designer
- Publisher
- Year
- Mechanisms
- Categories
- MFG Suggested Ages
- Alternate Names
- Et c.
The idea is to have Adminions take blocks of 25 games, and audit all of the information presented. The goal is to bring consistency to the entries, fill in any missing information, and eliminate any incorrect or extraneous information. By this process, I hope to recognize what problem areas exist with the present game data, and then to implement a system to call for the improvements/changes (e.g. for pictures, a clearer description, et c.)
Book Project
BGG has a policy on books that contain games which is inconsistently applied. As it stands, the book policy listed in game submissions is that books may be submitted if they contain rules for games not listed in the database. The problem with this policy is that it tends to keep game rules tied up with the respective books, but also would reject book 1 because it contains games A, B, C, and D because they are in the database, but would accept book 2 with games A, B, C, X, and Y, because the latter two are not in the database.
The goal of the book project is to list individually the games that are listed by rules in books, link the games to Wiki entries about the books (similar to the magazine indexes), and eliminate the books from the database. Some books may remain by fiat, but most books that merely list games can be eliminated.
Also, books with no game rule content should be eliminated (though the games described and listed therein should be added to the database - e.g. Miscellaneous Game Book, Miscellaneous Game Book.
Game Research
In addition to tasks listed above, there are several games listed in the database that have no information associated with them. For a time, I was working out of a price guide to list games in the database. I'm still working on that as a long-term project, but the games that I added still lack description.
