This was developed by Mayday Games (Mayday-Games.com) as an accessory for use with the Settlers of Catan game. It folds out from a 6-fold board to become large enough for a 5-6 player game of Catan. It will also do a 4 player game of Catan or a 4 or 6 player game of Cities and Knights. See pics below:
