http://www.Boardspace.net/ is an On-line game site devoted to playing abstract strategy games.
It's free and strictly non-commercial; There is no advertising and there are no product tie-ins.
Most of the games at Boardspace have competent robot opponents available, which are intended
to help teach the games or provide light practice. In some cases stronger robot opponents are
available too, but the intent of the site is that the real opponents are other people.
If you take your games seriously, boardspace has a bunch of features to help you do so.
- All games can be replayed and reviewed immediately after the game.
- All games are saved permanently, and can be reviewed either online or offline.
- There is a ranking system (but games can also be played unranked).
- There is a database tool to find games of particular players or particular pairs of players.
The interface requires Java but no other special resources. There is a guest login so you can check out the site. The site is in English, but the game GUI and some other parts are localized in several popular languages.
