Bugs

Give clear information when reporting a bug. What did you do, what did you expect to happen, what actually happened? URLs of relevant pages can be helpful. If it's a browser issue, tell your actual browser version (Help, About), not just "I'm using the latest version" or "an older version".

According to dakarp, the best way to report bugs is https://boardgamegeek.fogbugz.com/ . It seems that Misc | Bugs takes you to a fogbugz page to report bugs, but there is no way to search the open bugs to see if someone else has already reported it.

You can also report a bug in the Bugs forum (created September 2008). See this introductory post and the Bugs Forum rules for details. (The key points are is one bug per thread, and no need to post in the forum if you already entered the bug into fogbugz yourself.)

BGG seems to have several older bugtracking systems that are/were used:

  • BGG Wiki bugs seem to be kept track of on the page Wiki To Do.
  • Usually users seem to post bug reports in the forums or email Aldie or another moderator directly rather than using any of the more formal organized systems. Note that you should now only report bugs in the Bugs Forum if you don't want to enter them into Fogbugz yourself.
