Fan Expansion Guidelines

This is a first draft of guidelines for creating game entries for fan-created expansions:

BGG will not allow fan-made expansions to be added to the database unless:

1. The designer(s) of the fan expansion have received permission from the trademark holder to create a fan expansion.

2. The designer(s) of the fan expansion have received permission from the trademark holder to use any trademarks of the base-game used in the fan expansion.

3. The designer(s) of the fan expansion have received permission from copyright holders of any copyrighted material used within the expansion.

4. The designer(s) of the fan expansion have received permission from the trademark holders to list their game on any Geekdo site.

5. The title of the game must include "(fan expansion to {base game})" and cannot be titled as "{base game}: {fan-expansion name}".
